Nice Matt - way to break-in the Vette! Don't the rags list them at 12.4? Considering they try to correct thos emagazine numbers, you ar right where you should be. I can't wait to chant Sammy...Sammy...Sammy... when I see you roll up in that baby one day Eric (We've all watched Cheers here right?)
Good write up I like seeing the varying MPH but the same times. I ran a 12.769 this past saturday but only trapped 105 MPH
Sam had hair. Lots and lots of hair. :sorry: FWIW: I bought the C6 because including trade in the Chevy dealer charged me $2,000 LESS than what the Dodge dealer wanted for the Challenger SRT-8. My Corvette stickered for just over $59,000.
Check out this beauty that I did some work on Friday at my house: This Z06 is another buddy of mine and is running low 11's, it's up for sale at $67,000
My best friend has a 08 C-6 with the six speed and it's very fast. It feels much stronger/torque than our cars down in the lower RPM range. We have raced several times and I've beat him only because he couldn't launch. When he pegs the launch, I really have no chance unless he misses a gear. He is amazed that we run as close as we do, however.
See my comments above: 1) an older LS2 version (you sure it was an LS3?) 2) an automatic 3) a bad driver 4) a driver who wasn't trying (not likely) 5) a combination of the above. My trap was 90.04 in the 1/8th, and my e.t. was 8.445 seconds. Sounds about right. I missed the 2-3 shift once, and it cost me .5 seconds, which is enough to let an SRT-8 win. I don't know about 11's, at least not often, but LOW 12's is very likely.
