They Make It Tough To Race At The Race Legal Event. About A Month Ago They Had A Group Of Police Inspecting Cars And Writing Ticket As They Left The Event. They Say They Want To Stop Street Racing But Hassell The Guys Who Try To Do It Legally. parts of that movie were filmed in my town.
So you're saying people went with street cars to the track to race and police were there inspecting cars - writing tickets because they are street cars with modifications? WOW!!! Maybe I should read up on laws. I had no idea it was illegal to mod a car that is street driven. JT The thing I don't like about race tracks is even on so called street race night - they either don't have the times up OR they run all kind of other events that night and you can't get enough runs in because of the NON street cars running. JT
Seriously, is it that difficult? Also strips that run open/test and tune ALL weekend, no more of this points series garbage where people take their uber consistant 16.1 1/4 mile shitbox just to win some points championship that took zero skill to begin with. People want to complain about street racing, then want to fight a drag strip if it's going to be built within 50 freaking miles of them. It's kinda like those who are against abortion but support warfare, can't have it both ways people. Also who caught the gauge cluster of the SRT-4?? NIIIICCCEEE:usflag: Movie looks interesting though, I'll check it out for sure!
Yeah. At the RaceLegal event about a month ago. The CHP had it's "street racing task force" right outside of Qualcomm. They were popping event paticipants/spectators like nothing. Caused quite a stir. So much that RaceLegal themselves went to the CHP and complained. The CHP then stated that they were not targeting event goers, but were on the lookout for streetracers. just open more damn tracks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
it is illegal to modify anything that has to do with smog unless it has a CARB certification. and yes they were writing tickets, big ones. me too, lol it's not that simple, tracks are expensive to operate ant the insurance cost is way out of control just to put on events for 12 second cars. with my drag car i have actually been asked to leave an event after my first run because they did not have the kind of insurance coverage for a car like mine, once i was asked to leave after unloading my car before making a run and all i was there to do was some 200 to 300 foot test passes just to get some data for my nitrous timers. most tracks do not draw enough cars to cover the cost that is why they have to run many types of events at one time. race tracks are like prisons, we need more be no one wahts it in there back yard. i used to street race 20 years ago and i think the problem is the people. most of them are just stupid, look at where they stand. in my day (damn i sound old) everybody stood behind the start line. maybe it is because the cars were faster then. not that i condone street racing, it is a big problem.
Yea, you don't shoot the fish in the barrel, you take some C4 to the lake and wait for them to pop up. bwahahahaha
Well Ralph has been talking about spraying a 600 shot on top of his blower to see what'll take out his bottom end. Think that'll work?????
