Man was I surprised. I've been ragging you guys for running trucks tires for some time, but these ain't bad. Not bad at all. I've had the following tires: GY RSA's - 245/255/45 GY F1 - 255/45 Falken 452's - 255/45 Vredesteins - 275/40 And now the Proxes 4 275/40's at all four corners. Now these are not the equal of the Vredesteins but these are a very good tire. Here's my experience so far in roughly 1,000 miles of driving. The first thing you notice is these are wider than all of the above tires even in 275 sizes. The Toyo's bulge out over the rim, unlike the Vred's that surprised me by looking at home on 9" rims. These are not nearly as quiet as the Vreds and Falken's. Both of those are impossible to hear at hwy speeds. You do get some singing or hum from the Toyo's. The laterall grip rates right between the two. Not quite as good as the Vred's, but not as squishy as the Falkens. Now I must admit that the Proxes are a little twitchy at the limit in comparison to the Vreds. Maybe the bulging tire is falling over on the rim in tight corners and transisitons, but you definitely can feel it. Now the off the line grip with the Toyo's is by far their strong point. It's simply the best of ALL the tires I've listed above. I'm actually having trouble breaking traction with these for a long smokey burnout. With all of the other tires I just simply lift off the brake and smash the gas and instantly liquify the rear tires. Not so with the Proxes, they actually regain traction very quickly. I've had some of the best lauches with these that I've EVER felt in the car. In summation, you'll never hear me say a bad word about the Proxes again. For $600 delivered I'm a pretty happy camper. I may actually hold on to these tires for awhile. I did get nearly 16,000 out of the Vred's, but I have a feeling the Proxes will last even longer. That's a great writeup. I was "that" close to getting the Toyo's. But opted for the Invo's on the request of another forum member. I've come to "like" the Invo's but would like to try out the Toyo's for a thousand miles or so. Any takers in SD?
Nice. I have Proxes waiting for my Parelli's to finally wear out. I am using a taller rear tire. 305/25 22 instead of the 295/25 22 Nice to hear.
You should have tried Pirellis instead of the Parellis you got a great deal on from Guido. (I still in shock and confused that you just whipped out "pterodactyl" a couple of days ago in the MRE thread...:stars

Just part of the job description - try to make the boss look presentable. Some things you can just breeze over and some just sort of catch your eye and break your rythm. Like Parellis.
