Has anybody experienced the check engine light and the ESP light coming on at the same time. What happens when I take off the car runs really rough and sometimes stall out; this happens about every 120-150 miles or so. (As if you where learning to drive a stick shift for the first time.) Then I have to stop the car and shut it off for a few minutes then restart it. But the check engine light will remain on and the car will drive ok until it happens again. When they check for a code, it keeps coming up Crank Sensor and Cam Sensor. If you had this problem please contact me with the fix. My Dealer can't seem to find a cure. Help!

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------

It's still acting up, (Date 09/17/08) the following codes are: Cam sensor & Crank sensor
    Following replaced so far:
    Both sensors
    Pin attachments at the sensors
    PCM
    Two Different wiring harness
    TCM
And Last But not Least - TBS Module

And still having the same problem and had it worked on now by two different Dealers...

    Any suggestions out there? :help:

Oh boy, this sucks to hear.

I do not have an answer, but have you done the SRT Chat session on one of EKools' forums?

You may want to ask the Engineer's. Also, try calling Chrysler's Customer Support hotline and see if they will patch into the SRT Engineer's.

    Let us know.

    hmmm

I would still call. Self satisfaction and all. Besides, you will get a much better response from the Engineers. IMO

I say this because if they were actually in contact with the Engineers, and this problem is still not fixed, more than likely the Engineers would be out there to figure it out.

I had that occur in my Bee three days after I bought it (car had 300 miles on it). I took it to one dealership and they found nothing wrong, reset the code and sent me off. After the second time, I took it to a different dealership. They indicated that there was a RRT (Rapid Response Ticket) in the system for my vehicle and the cam position sensor needed to be changed. I think a RRT is like a voluntary recall limited to a certain range of vehicles. They said it should have been taken care of by the dealer as part of the pre-delivery checklist.

Anyway, they replaced the sensor and it is fine.

BTW, I had that same code pop on my 300M a couple of months ago, and I trouble shot it to the cam sensor. The balking of the car is actually the rev limiter which when that code first sets, it imposes a 3000 RPM rev limit. Shutting the car off and restarting will reset the rev limiter and ESP. Anyway, I replaced the cam sensor and the problem there was gone also. I guess this is one I am doomed to have on whatever I drive.
