So for the last few days when running my car harder than normal use (which is already hard, lol) I've noticed the distinct smell of something along the lines of melted parrafin when idling or after having shut the car off. I've lifted to hood in effort to look for any type of coolant overspill or oil seeping out from the heads but can't find a thing. What gives? PS I should add that I LOVE driving the living crap outta my car. I bet I'm not alone.
Could be some heat shield particles from the undercarriage hitting the exhaust? I get that sometimes as well. Have for 2 years and nothing has gone wrong. lol Quit picking your dingleberries before exiting the car. hahahahaha
lmao, that's a term my father used to use, Ron! But I know you're about my age As a kid when I was running around naked he'd say, "hey, your dingleberries are danglin' in the dust!" Ah, good times...thanks for the memory, man (oh yeah, and the advice). At 33K hey? Hmmm, well, it's either that or Ron's insight I guess, M. My rear wheel bearing is squealing like a pig at the moment so I'll have to get it into a 5-star anyway so I'll have 'em check. Thanks again, boyos.
What you have is something that all SRT8's have. It is call Hemi Sweat. What you smell is our car flexing its muscles lol. I have been in alot of SRT8's and all ge the smell! Don't worry about it.
Hmm..hemi BO...nice! I also like the smell of burnt brake dust and rubber and racing fuel... mm mm mm... Let us know if you find anything out at your service...
Finally, that makes sense! You guys are an awesome wealth of knowledge! So the cottage cheese in our coolant tanks...is that just "deadly build-up"?
Joe, Joe, Joe, lol, ok, let me get this straight ... your dingleberries smell cause you've been driving the hell out of your car and it's created cottage cheese in your tank?!?! LMAO, WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH YOU CANADIANS, LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ya know, Scott, anything is possible...and I wouldn't deny that an occurance of similar description has actually happened while rollin' with my wife and gf (at the same time) - just not in this particular car! We get away with a lot more shit up here than you guys in the US.
