Maybe I missed it but I havent seen any mention of gas lines today....gas locally went up about 30cents today and rumors were floating about $6 gas by afternoon.....looked like the 70s again with long lines at the pumps...driving home this evening many gas stations were out of gas and roped off.........what is happening where you live..... ........ Looks like price gouging and taking advantage of situations.......talked to one person that sat in line for 2 hrs today to get gas....he said the station raised the price 2 times while he was in line....funny how gas in the ground increases in price..oh:
Well this is just peachy....I'm driving to Texas Sunday for a vacation. If gas is anywhere near $4.50 a gallon, I may not be going! Fucking hurricane!
shit i hope its not like NY then lol....its 4.25 here at the station by my house.... i did notice it jump by a lot since Wednesday though
Dang Rick..from the looks on the weather channel I hope your trip is to the NW part of Texas......and I bet you will see Prem for $4.50 or more....we usually have some of the cheapest gas in the counrty but I saw a high of $4.39 at an Exxon...
That sucks. Sounds like price gouging in the Hurricane states, but what the businesses are doing is trying to slow down the consumption of fuel. This is happening because the Gas Stations our now unable to get fuel from the wholesaler, so the price jumps up. If it is completely outrageous, I suggest that you call your Attorney Generals office and make a formal complaint. The AG is the only one who can crack the whip on price gougers. On a side note, I just filled up the car not more than an hour ago, and 91 Octane is at $3.53 and dropping. hehe
Gas prices on base here didn't change....but they only had premium available....convienient for me...
I'm driving to Abilene...but driving to Houston on Thursday or Friday. It's about $4 for premium in SD right now. Fuck it...I just installed the Predator 9r08 and am getting 24-25mpg on the highway. That's cover any extra costs!
Evidently this is not widespread.....I was surprised there were not threads about it......unusual for gas prices to be above average here....reminded me of the 70s today...long lines at the pumps and limits on gallons you could purchase....most stations were closed when I came thru at 7pm...out of gas....:erm:
Any chance you will be making a detour and coming up to ABQ on the way home? haha Larry, I remember those days. Remember the Green, Amber, and Red flags? haha
Probably not with a psycho 2 year old!! LOL I'm going to be driving 100mph as it is just to get her to and from without a major breakdown!! I'm praying that the dvd player will be our savior!
NOT a vacation....LOL! The wife's from Abilene, and I grew up in Houston. Both of our families are still there and we haven't been back in over five years so we figured it was about time. They all come out to San Diego to visit once or twice a year! But, I sure do miss Texas!
check out the new Primtime Fun Center while your here. Go cart- nascar virtual games, bowling, miniature golf. also there is a brand new Hilton Garden next to the mall on Ridgmont DR, if you are looking for a place to stay And do not forget to grab some Super Duper Nachos over at Alfredo's on 14th street and the new Sushi Bar Banzai- good sushi and good show if you want the entrees. I prefer the Sushi 1/8 mile trace should be open.....:shifty: guess back on subject- gas here is about 3.70 something- was 3.42 yesterday.
Haven't had to check the gas stations locally. I'm not driving the Skittle next week, so I don't need gas until next week-end...hopefully things will be back to normal by then.
Holy Hell. Premium was $5.19 a gallon today and some stations were out all together. I was about $3.50 a few days ago. Major freaking gouging.
