You'll change your mind when you see it in person, I GUARENTEE it! I did at the SF auto show last month and OMG, it's frickin awesome bro!! And I'm not an import fan.
Same thing here, in person it's sweeeeeeeeet, especially the DBS version coming soon. For me if there's any drawback it's that it looks too much like a Jag.
That wouldn't surprise me at all. Often a car has grown on me in that same way. Besides that front end (which I may like one day who knows), I do like the rest of the car....but if I'm comparing it to the Z06, the Viper or the Porsche 911...(Notwithstanding the price or bang for the buck) it's still feels like a Skyline for me.
as an former owner of Nissans...and nissans ranging from 1989 to as new as 2005...i will NEVER EVER EVER willing drive a nissian ever again...i will cut the floor out of my SRT...and use it as a flinstones mobile before i'd get into one...and that thing looks like garbage...but i might be basied too... i hate those stupid pieces of garbage... and for the record...i was NEVER given the option till i was old enough to buy my own car... wheres the Vanquish...isnt that supposta be "better" than the DB9? although i still think it will have the fishy look...i'd take it though...in person they are shweeeeeeeet
I thought the exact same way up until I turned around and saw it on the Nissan display. There's definitely NOTHING Skyline about it, no resemblence at all, IMO. Maybe that's why they're not calling it a Skyline anymore, just a GT-R. Another car I wasn't thrilled with until I SAW it was the Audi R8. Same thing, in person it's friggin awesome!! I can be very picky about things too, and stubborn to change my mind once it's made up, but damn if actually SEEING the R8 in person didn't change my mind! It's now one of my favorite cars.
i thought the vanquish was a lesser model then the db9? i like the fish look, just not that gay color.
i saw an s5 a few weeks ago, that thing was BAD lookin, yet to see an r8 in person but i love the pics. performance leaves a little to be desired for the price tag to me
This isnt the vanquish but its the "DBS" not DB9 and its "above" the DB9 on Aston Martins website... if you guys think its too fishy..ill just take it then i guess hahaha
And this thread is confusing because "hottest" isn't defined. Hot selling, hot in the publics eye, hot how? So it makes it hard to say this car should be on the list instead of that car.
I mean if you're talking about hot cars where's the Ferrari Enzo or the Porsche Carrera GT or the Saleen S7 OR THE FORD GT!!
dude...good call...The Saleen (IMO) would top the list...the Saleen S7 TT Comp would destroy all hahaha
Haha, still making for interesting discussion. I'd go check on Forbes but I'm feelin' a bit lazy lol. Yup, was thinkin' the same thing.
ford doesnt make the gt anymore and its future replacement is an ugly front engine design, tell me how thats supposed to replace a beautiful yet muscular mid engine classic?
The criteria includes a line that says "includes models that are either all-new or significantly updated for 2008." That is probably why some were left off the list. http://www.forbesautos.com/buyersguide/sportscars/2007/002-hottest-sports-cars-2008/01-the-hot-list.html ...but this one is the baddest...the Koenigsegg CCX:
Oooo, the Saleen is pretty cheap lol...nice. But I don't think they revamped it for 08 and therefore it's not "hot" anymore. lol
