For those who haven't heard of this new download/gadget: http://www.srtconnection.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8375&highlight=iPhone Anyway, so I downloaded it into my iPhone, calibrated it (make 100% certain your phone is level throughout the calibration) and took 2 runs. I won't put down EVERY number, but suffice to say I have no idea how accurate it is, but it sure is fun as hell to see SOME results at a whim: BEST RUN: 60ft: 2.71 sec. 1/8th: 8.85 sec @ 93.3 mph 1/4: 12.95 sec @ 123.9 mph ... and a .85 lateral G acceleration (SOP feel) Now, before anyone starts "if'ing" and what not, this is a toy, not a measuring device... it's for fun! I'd also like to say that regardless of the numbers, I feathered 1st gear pretty strong, as I'd just spin... so going into 2nd, I get ON IT... and proceed to go sideways for 20 yards before letting off the gas... yes traction control was FULLY ON. *I tried a run with it one-tapped off, and forgetabou'it! The car is, for all intents and purposes, uncontrollable with/out traction control until 3rd gear at WOT. *BTW: regardless of these times or whatever times... I freakin' LOVE my car! Holy shit! When I found myself at a 45 degree angle AFTER hitting (and all through) 2nd gear, that pretty much convinced me that the car fucking rocks. Period. Mind you I'm running Vredestein 275's all the way around at 36 psi. What can be said of this? IMO, the Vortech blower (with that smaller pulley to boot) fucking tears shit up! WOOHOO!!! Damn... I just love the whole dang thing!
I would say that with a 12.9 ET and a 123.9mph, the Iphone software is EXACTLY what you said, "A Toy"!
Hold on now. There are a lot of different ways to get 12.9 at 123.9. It was Momo at the wheel after all.... I wouldn't expect to find the highest grade accelerometer in a iPhone but it might be sort of ok.
Yeah... but it sure is fun as hell! But! I did let off the gas big time when sideways... so... who knows! Its a cool gadget regardless!
Jason, traction control uses the torque management table. The tunes will reduce torque management for shifts, power, etc. It's the same table the ESC uses so there's no way to separate the two. Reduce torque management and you are going to reduce ESC. I think more power applied against the brakes adds (reduces ESC) to it as well when it does get around to applying selective braking for traction control.
Dahahaha, looks like Momo's got most every mod anyone could ever want except the Driver Mod. Jason, you've made it tough to make fun of your car anymore. That leaves... well, it might be time to step up. Maybe race school? Crossfit? Rogaine?:hug:
alright dave...... be nice with the rogaine jokes!!! momo can't help if he is follically challenge!!!!
You're right. That was uncalled for and inappropriate. Please accept my sincere apologies Jason. ...but I thought you had written "frollically challenged", haha. I don't think Momo has a problem with that since he's such a cherub (actually more correctly, a putto). Maybe we don't want to lose that.
Bust my balls... Think what I do for work... Ball busting in nothing new to me! I can drive for control but not in a racing sense. We're trained differently than race oriented driving.
