wow, i take it there have been some "tweeks" to the vortech r&d cars...... the last i paid attention, it was only a one car difference. in all seriousness, what has been done to make things better??? i know you mentioned boost increase, but just john or overall??? what about ryans sled???

Rick got it almost right. Jason had me by about 1/2 to 3/4 of car. I feel that the added passenger and my 22s made for this. I am only 3 revisions in on the inertia tune with more to come. Hell it hasnt even been tuned for the meth yet I think that this represents a good example of power in a tune but loss of power with wheels Rick and I talked about me switching out to my stockers and going again. I think the roles will be reversed with this test. I know my car is putting down more power with this tune then the stocker but you give up some to look to this pretty!

The tweaks
Overall this new R&D pulley is showing about 1 pound more of boost to 1.5. The tune from vortech is a bit more cutting edge and runs well. Again there is still more to be had. I feel the meth kit even with the kits pulley is well worth the money due to the drops in cylinder temps and IAT!

No tweaks yet, going to see Johan as soon as these storms stop teasing us lol!
I do have almost 2500 trouble free miles on the stock tune though, so we are ready to get it going now!

 

thanks for the feedback jon....... these tweeks with the pulley and tune going into the "standard" kit for people????

 

these updates are not going to be part of the kit at this time, only further testing will tell.

chris your right, i would not brag about being killed by a wagon if i were you.

 

killed??????? please....... you will get soooo worked up at the chance to race, you will end up hitting the bag switch in a momentary loss of mental capacity from admiring my ride, and become an asphalt slow plow..........lol

 

you might be right, the bag switch is near the nitrous switches. lol

Ok Rick, quick question.

John said Jason said that John's car pulled like mine up top. How do you think any of the locals would do against my car running NA. John and Ralph have mentioned wanting to run me for giggles. I know from a dead with my DR's, it would be over very quickly. So what would you think from a roll?

 

Hal, from a roll, we might be close... but I'm not making claims one way or the other.

This additional 1-1.5 lbs made a big diff with my car... on the runs Rick wrote about, I'd get her down into 2nd once or twice and nail it... sure I was only in 2nd for .5 seconds, but none the less, she pulled like I was coming off the line.
