I've got to tell you, now that I own Nitto Invo's....I'm more of a Vredestein fan than before. Don't get me wrong, the Invo's are a good tire. But, I push my car to the limits and the Vredestein's answered the call. Dave (Quick) clued me in to why they are such a great handling performance tire. Most of the Invo's "statistical" data is the same as the Vredestein's. BUT, the fact that the Vredestein's are made for European SUV's...."stiffer sidewall", makes them a much better fit for those that push the limits in the turns with their LX vehicles. The ride comfort, quietness, stickiness, feel about the same....until you enter a turn aggressively! I'll go so far as to say that "Matt Robertson/Money Pit" has never driven a car with the same/similar mods as his with the Vredestein's. He has mentioned that you need a lower profile tire to withstand the cornering thresholds and weight of an LX. The Invos...nor any common LX tire replacement (F1's, Toyo Proxes 4)...has the sidewall stiffness of the V's. Forgive the cliche...but, my car handled like it was on rails with the V's. With the Invo's ($275 more than the V's) it now feels like a boat. All the people who have drunken the Vredestein Koolaid know what I'm talking about. Those who dismiss....haven't driven with Vredesteins! I'll get by until the Invo's wear out..but, I'll be getting the V's next!

what you need is for those new road racing specific tires that Nitto makes to come in 20's lol

but yeah i have never heard anything bad about the V's so far so at least you know what tire is for you!

Rick, nice post, question ... you think the main dif is the stiffer sidewall the Vs have right? A stiffer sidewall almost ALWAYS equates to a harder ride but you think they're as smooth riding as the others huh (Nittos, Toyos, F1s)??

Nope...I've got the front dropped fairly low as well.

They are as smooth as the Nittos and F1's. Much smoother than the RSA's. You just need to shit can you Mopar coilovers, or sell them to someone on LX or Magnum forums, and get some KW's.

Folks, while I have a second here, let me state my opinion, as I've rode with Rick with his V-equipped car 100's of times, and I myself have the V's... yes, 275/40/20.

    The V's are quiet.

The sidewall has to be the difference. My car with the V's realized a marked handling improvement even before the install of my coilovers... and I only have the KW Variant 1's (no sways, STBs, etc.).

ummmmmmm did i miss something????? when did rick go to invo's????? i would have bet money that he would never stray away from the V's!!! if they made the tire in a 285 or 295 i would be all over them!!!!! hell, f i can get a wide enough spacer, i might even try shoe horning a 315 under the car just to get a set of V's!!! my nittos are getting a bit thin!!! lol

Rick has a long road trip coming up and needed new tires ASAP... V's are out of stock all over the place, so he had to go with the "B" Team.

It's not the tires... you just still have the training wheels on... take them off and give us a true review...
