In doing research to lower my SRT-8 and continue to maintain as much factory ride as possible I found the ground-control setup for the Cadillac CTS. I came across the information while reading on how to modify the Nivomat shocks to allow a 1"+ drop on our cars. The kit sold by ground-control uses the factory front shock and strut assembly while adding a new adjustable spring perch along with an adjustable rear spring perch and parts to modify the Nivomat shock. The kit is approximately $500 for the Cadillac's which is about $800 less most coilover solution and allows us to re-use the Nivomat's. You can see the article here: http://cadillacfaq.com/faq/answers/l...kit/index.html I called up ground-control and they said they had most of the work done but would like to have a local guy come to the shop to verify fitment and the Nivomat modification. Here's the page on their CTS kit: http://www.ground-control-store.com/...ion.php/II=715 If you live near Sacramento and you're looking to lower your car please contact Jay at ground control. You'll have to discuss pricing, time etc for this to happen. [email protected] 530-677-8600 9-5 PST Ground Control Suspension Systems 3885 Dividend Dr Shingle Springs, California 95682
Eh, maybe after I finish my finals this week...nah..who'm I kidding. There's other SRT owners in the area. Have you tried posting on LXf?
I cross posted everywhere, 300cforumz immediately pm'd me and said that it's against the rules. Everywhere else has been cool.
Ah, ok. Cool. I'm sure you'll get some bites then. I like the idea of another mod, but I'm trying to lay off the impulse modding. If I were to check this out and it worked, I'd buy it and then there'd be hell to pay. :chair:
I don't know yet but the Caddy kit is $500 which is front coils, front coil mounts, rear coils and nivomat shock spacers to allow you to lower the car.
so this si just for lowering the car? i dont think I want it any lower my car already scratches on everything
