Do our of cars have the plugs for iPod ??? If not what do you suggest? I tried the FM adaptor that plays the iTunes via radio channels and it sucked. Btw I have the kicker system. Love you all, Mono
Mo- what's the head unit you're running? RBK? RBQ? RB1? RB4? REC? There's a Mopar kit for those units. Painless install that plugs right into the back of the units. (I think I did a DIY during Keith's install....) On some systems, you can even control the iPod via the steering wheel controls!
Has anyone ever gotten an iPhone to work with one of these? I've used these in other cars, and never gotten an iPhone to work like my iPod. Never been a deal-breaker, but was just curious if I missed something.
I tried an FM adapter... yeah it sucked, and I researched it to get the very best one. For about $12 at Radio Shack I bought an RCA input adapter to hook it up to my VES system and it works GREAT. The only disadvantage is that the steering wheel buttons and the NAV screen don't link with it. Makes me glad I bought the car with the DVD in it, lol.
My iPod Touch works just fine with Keith's Mopar iPod Adapter and his RB1 head unit. All of the 'touch' features are still available when plugged in, and it retains the steering wheel controls of the music as well!
I just installed a "REC NAV Lockpick" the weekend, and it works great, with full use of all stering wheel controls. ....and it plays video too!!! Ken
Holy crap! Ken has gone video!! Very nice Ken. and what have you done with the headliner and pillars? When did that happen?
Thanks Quick... Over the weekend I took a road trip down to LA. http://www.srtconnection.com/forums/showthread.php?p=221181#post221181 Ken
