Here are a couple of teaser shots for the day. *Revised fuel system. Larger fuel supply lines have now been run with an new return system setup. Surge tank also fitted with heat shields protecting the fuel lines where necessary. Car is now running twin 800hp fuel pumps and set up to run as factory OEM would. I believe they have rewired the fuel delivery electronics to fit and work as it should. Don't ask me on this, all I know is that it is done and works. Here you go. More pics soon.
Thanks Bill. Engine should be ready to have the first trial fitting tomorrow. The Kooks headers are being fitted up so they can be modified fit a RHD car. Fingers crossed there is not much involved. Passenger side (your drivers side) should fit no probs, its the drivers side (you passenger side) I believe will have the issues.
Hmm, never though about the right hand drive.....let see how the headers fit on the pre-install. Bill
...this car is going to be one hell of ride when its done, there is no doubting that. The amount of work and $$$$$ going into it will ensure its a show and dyno stopper!!!
Good choice my friend. Great minds LOL No I had the Manley's turfed after numerous people advised against running them and the breakages they've seen. PSI's will work great with this NEW setup.
Ok here we go, we are on the home straight now and very excited. And I still have one MAJOR surprise and change to disclose (soon very soon I promise LOL) which I cannot wait to share with you all. It will be worth the wait. Engine is now 100% complete and assembled ready to be fitted back into the car after being out for over 4 months. A lot of work has gone into the build, both on the car and engine and will go over it all in detail once fully completed and back on the road. Anyway here is the last shot I have gotten before the motor goes back in and there was a little surprise for me as well. My new modified sump and how trick does it look. Simply amazing. Will have more details as it comes to hand but as of now we are getting towards being finished.
Daniel, OMFG Mate... *Be right back* Ok, I;m back. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh lol LOVE the sump. Looks like an additional 2-4 quart capacity? I know what the surprise is... hehehehehe Well, I am pretty sure I know?
LOL...would love nothing more than to come out with it but I cannot as yet. Trust me it will be worth the wait
Sheeesh man...please tell me you cleaned that shop just for the pictures. It is cleaner than my kitchen that I eat in! Beautiful motor.
Daniel, that is a siiiiiiiiick build you have going on buddy! I can't wait to see this thing terrorize the strip. Now, spill the beans! What is it man?! lol
Shhhhhh.....Not yet not yet.....Might have a sneak pic early next week Maybe! LOL Thanks mate. That is the state of the entire shop not just the engine room. They put out a lot of high end work requiring this type of cleanliness. Their customers also expect it plus it show that they have pride in what they do. I will try and get some pics of their entire facility. I am pretty stoked about the motor also. You and me both. And the track I go to has almost finished their renovation as well. Can't wait. Surprise will come soon enough. I have to keep something secret....at least for a little while
Just some clarification, the spring we use is a Manley 221428-16. The manleys that everyone is having problems with is a completely different spring. Not one single person has ever had any issue with the Manley spring we use. Thats like not wanting to buy a Dodge Charger because your 1988 Omni was always breaking down. They are two completely different springs and the 221428 actually has a higher open/close seat pressure than the PSI 1511. they are both great springs, I just dont want anyone to think that the Manley we are using is inferior, truth be told, we can use either one for our heads and there is not a price difference for anyone wanting the PSI spring. We just prefer the seat pressures of the Manley.
