    I had hoped for more mileage, what can I say. Handling this good requires a soft compound, soft tires wear quickly. 14 months and maybe 11k, 1/8" left.:thanks:
    Who has the best price and willing to ship?

    Great timing. I need new treads ASAP and was wondering about the V's. I saw a set just a week ago that only lasted 5K. That had me a bit concerned. 10K is all I've ever gotten out of the F1's. Thanks guys.

    I hate forum viruses. I pm'd Jason (CV) about this and he has no idea why they wore out so quickly. It's an anomaly in my book and not worth taking into consideration. He didn't drag or road race them. No burnouts. You know how I feel about the tires. I got 14k out of them and I probably would have got a few more miles if I didn't do a 300 foot burnout a couple weeks ago with Ryan. LOL. The fronts still have some tread on them...the backs have none!!! hehe

    I think I did @ a 1500 ft burnout the other day, it was like slow motion man! Since I just typed that I now realize how dumb I am. It didn't really count being that I was alone. Atleast I can finally rotate!

    Im telling you... That place is a bunch of Bahstads!! gave me the run around, I was tempted to have a buddy that lives in W. Hollywood drive over there, buy them, and ship them. They only take money orders right? Maybe it was 1A tire in New York.

    The Proxes 4 are sort of like Michelin X's (actually JMatt got the inside info that the Invo's are made with a softer tread compound than the Proxes 4). Bud's going to have his Invo's on any day now so we'll have a professional, direct comparison to the Vreds.

    So far I've done;

    RSA's
    F1's
    Falken 452's
    Vredesteins - 2 sets

    I needed tires and wanted to do an ebay deal (long story). I couldn't get the ebay Vred' guy to budge off his $800 price. I ended up getting the Toyo Proxes 4 (275/40) for $635 shipped - 2% rebate = $622 - $25 rebate from paypal = $597. These are about the only tires I haven't tried so I figured what the heck. The Vredesteins were good for just over 15K miles with lots and lots of long smokey burnouts. I honestly believe that someone (not me) could get 20K+ out of these if they drove rationally. I'm sure I'm going to be giving up some handling with the Proxes but we'll see.

    BTW - You can still get Falken 452's for under $600 at EdgeRacing.com. 255/45's only though as they don't have 275/40's. Also a great tire delivering 95% of the Vred's at about 85% of the price. Very quiet too.
