Well here is the last dyno pull from a week ago. As you can tell, the tuning has a long ways to go, but there is more to that story and I'll explain later. But basic build, Spartan cam, Stu heads, stock bottom end and a whole bunch of other wacked out stuff. The pull was completed at SVS in Sacramento and it just happened to be 106 in the shop and my motor was 100% heat soaked from the last 4 pulls we did trying to figure out what wasn't working.
hahah, I'm guessing the a/f looks whacked because of the cam? (no, not the one pushing the gas pedal but the one pushing the valves). 450/430? nice.
Damn-it.........alright :dumb: Inertia's tuner and I have been working on different tunes and he had all my part throttle stuff dialed in pretty tight. So I was heading up to SVS to finish off the WOT stuff on the dyno. Well anyhow, on the way up, I decided to change back a couple tunes to see something. This one tune I knew was very fat. So when Bob started in on my tuning, I forgot to tell him which tune to run and he used the one that was in the PCM. So we do a pull and it just flat out stops at 400RWHP and most of the run was in the 10's and low 11's. So he spends a fair amount of time playing around with the tuning and then the Diablo would not register with the car (because of something I had done). Well that takes a while to figure out. So now we do another run with the fuel leaned out 3%. The torque number picked up nicely but once again, the RWHP stops dead at 400. Af's were still in the low 11's and hit 10's at times. So now Bob is irritated and decides to really to rip some fuel out and leans her up 15%. So we do the run, AF's lean up 2 points and now are in the 13's. And the gawd damn summamumbitch lays down identical numbers to the T!. So now we're left with scratching our nuts trying to figure out what happened. And then I asked Bob to disable the Dual throttle body controller and do a pull. Well I'll be a damned, identical numbers. Turns out I blew the control fuse for the controller and didn't know :dumb: So, fuse installed, full opperation checked, Bob loads the fat tune back in and there you have the results. Because now it was 5:00 and time to hit the track.......................end of story. Bet your sorry you asked now huh? :thongue2:
Well there are a few things going on with my build that no one else has. Major exhaust work, port match exhaust manifold, high flow and a full 3" zommers systems. The intake is flowed, ported and barrier coated. And then there is this. Twin 65's which lead to my down fall on getting the tune dialed in. I do expect to see 470+ at the rears when this is worked out and a torque curve that'll make ya sick on a stock bottom end.
Thnx  What this one?? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RXKAiUZvXs4 :dumb: Brudder, I wouldn't hold my breath on this one. I've done a ton of internal detail stuff that most won't. And the dual TB is this configuration is not the way to go. But it sure looke pretty huh :tooth: You stay the F away from my exhaust pipe damn-it! :rofl2:
