The spacers are not to keep your engine coolant temps down.

The spacers are designed to help with actual engine and intake temps. And yes, the spacers do their job in that regard.

    Hope that helps?

Did anybody ever do a valid dyno comparison? No doubt it can keep you from getting your fingers burnt but I'm not convinced they do anything for power.

I recouped 24 rwhp after adding my spacers...

The spacers are NOT a Power Adder. They are designed to regain the lost HP from Heat Soak.

Without any other changes? Like you didn't relocate your IAT sensor between the before and after?

Ok, last question. When you lost and recouped the 24 rwhp were you starting with 380 rwhp or 650 rwhp?

lol I was starting with 545rwhp...

And yes, I know where you are going with this.

It is a very good possibility that I recouped MORE HP do to having a higher HP starting point.

The concept of isolating the intake from the engine heat or infact having the intake manifold cooler during a run does in fact make a difference both at the track and on the dyno.

I have personally seen a significant intake surface temperature difference in the current spacer offerings. Make sure that you look at the thickness and heat resistance of each material offered.

What happened to BTs super secret material spacers? Last I heard they were prototyped and patent application pending. Those sounded really neat.

    Ask vvv90

Ask vvv90 if they work. Immediately after I pulled off the road course at California Speedway after laying down the fastest lap of the day, Matt (vvv90) put his hand on top of my intake manifold and left it there. He was ASTOUNDED at how cool it remained.

Heat rises so sitting still the manifold will still get hot from the engine heat directly beneath it, but with any airflow the difference is undeniable!

    Research This!

Here is a photo of what you want. This spacer is only an 1/8 thick and made of a Micarta fiber with phenolic resin impregnation. We have seen where thicker spacers will cause a dogleg in the manifold to head mating surface. This is a direct blocking interference of the desired airflow. This will infact hurt performance and in my humble opinion not a desired result.

Like I said I got mine from gs motorsport it came with 2 new factor gaskets and the spacer thickness unknown. I'm thinkin about geting a throttle body spacer and a GEN X Underdrive Pulley. Does anyone know if its worth it? Thanks
