Sony Cybershot DSC-W50. Bought it for my wife last year. Nice little camera with 6 MP and a decent size screen for viewing pics. Has a slot for a memory card and came with a Carl Zeiss lens which from what I hear is a nice feature. Planning on taking a photography class so I can see what it is I am actually doing when I mess with the settings. Other than that I think it's a pretty cool camera to mess with.
I'm all P&S on still cameras. I tried a Canon and Nikon about 2 years ago but I ended up with the Casio Exilim 7.2mp. I liked the picture quality better and it takes pretty good 30 fps video too. Looking to upgrade the video camera to HD right now.
