Yea IF the price is right. i just see the mustang saleens with blowers not really making the power I want. I guess its just the tune so the warenty is still good right?
Mostly tuning and pulley size, you can get good power out of the Saleen blowers on mustangs, but there are limits of course. In our experience Centri's will put out higher max HP #'s compared to twin screw blowers on a similar car.
Yes, the twins screws are much torquier down low, and centris have more top end..of course this is speaking generally.
I saw a shelby GT500 with a TS Kenne Bell SC on it that was putting out over 1000hp....i just think its all about how you set everything up no?
That was also running N20....they never did say how much though...100 shot 200?? If we put N20 on Danni w/ the Vortech she would be over 1000 rwhp too...and with a much smaller motor hehe. Maybe I shouldnt have brought that up...hopefully Lisa doesnt see this lmao!
no this was without Nitrous and (not saying they are smart) on a stock bottom end)....they were adding a 100 shot of nitrous later on according to the owner
LOL...You may get your wish lol...Lisa is just crazy enough to do it...and 1000 through an Auto with no N20 on a 4.6L would really be something !
Not exactly. You can't take the low end torque out of a TS (and you can't add it to a centrifugal). You might want or need one or the other.
Exactly..it is all about what your are going for... If you are building a drag car a twin screw is probably not for you...you need the power at the high RPM's like a centri or turbo provides. A fun street car either one could suit you, just depends on where you want max power...and with tuning even that can be adjusted.
Ummm, that is not entirely true Kris... I think you might have that backwards. A TS on a Drag car is optimal. And on our 2 ton sleds, the more torque to get them going, the better. Centri's are great, but they do have slight lag. lol Nothing like a turbo, but lag nonetheless.
In the NMRA Series the top Kenny Belle Twin screw was 55th place while the top 5 were turbos or Centri type superchargers :tropicalwind: Now the Kenny Belle was built all it could be and the owner was considering a YSi Vortech at one point  Twin Screws are definitely fun street cars and can be powerful, but Vortechs/Prochargers are much better for the track (and engines LOL)
We can disagree all day long about this subject. lol For a street car (Not NMRA), a TS will be much more efficient. And yes, I have a centri and will switch to a TS eventually.
but but but Supercharger debates are fun :stars: LMAO! Street car, yes I agree with you, but I still like centris overall, just personal preference, You can make big power with either choice :ilovesrtc:
Ron the only issue I have run into with the TS setups are in those cars that are traction limited...for most lxs this is the case. Now for my old stuff I prefer that setup because I can tub it and run what ever I want through a rear end that I know can handle it.
