Glaring lack of details... I'm guessing it was like 52 in a 35 zone and not anything manly like 147 in a 65.

    It was B.S.

I was on a state highway heading into a small town.

Speed limit 55. Then 45, then 35, all one after the other.

I had cruise set at 63 in a 55, which I honestly believe is reasonable.
Right BEFORE I hit the 45 sign, the local coming the other way sees me and pops his lights.

I kow the 45 sign was close, but I was literally in the process of hitting the brakes for the 45 when his lights went off.

    He said "63 in a 45."

I said "sir, I was still in the 55, hitting the brakes to slow down for the next zone."

He said "So you were still going 63 in a 55."

I didn't argue, and said "Thank you sir."

He came back with a generic warning, with no particular speed indicated.

I then proceeded on to my legal meeting with the town council president at the town hall next door to the police station.

I'm sure the officer found it curious I was parked at town hall all day.

We do. But we don't use it because we have a habit of going faster and paying less attention because of the false safety of the detector, only to get busted even more often by officers using PoP quick on radar guns.

It was a toss up for me between the 9500i with GPS or the Beltronics STI which is undetectable itself. Both now under the same roof and both will allow the Passport Zr3 laser shifters to plug in for one integeral unit. I've only seen the shifters come on once in a year, but it saved me!

I've always wanted to get one but they're illegal here in Ontario. So, Howie, you're saying the Beltronics can't be detected by cops?
    hmm

Milan, thats what they claim, cannot be detected by any radar detector detector
http://www.beltronics.com/sti.html only this unit though. The wife has their RX65 which has identical capabilities except for the stealth ast a better price.
