i did, had a c5 with almost 500rwhp that got crazy good mileage. exactly, also another big turn of events looks like the top power might even been more because engine shops cant do a whole lot with the 427 in the c6 z06. they can get a lot nuttier in the ls2 and ls3 motors....tt, sc, more nitrous, etc.

It's not just the 2 grand though. You get a lot more than 2 grand worth of performance out of the Vette. There's no comparison in any category besides lack of 4 doors. You finally let the cat out of the bag I see. You guys can guess my opinion on it. Just look at my sig. :grin: I'm lookin' at getting a turbo C5 or C6 Z06 next summer myself.
Man gas mileage on the C6 Z51 is good, I used to get from Phoenix to Santa Fe in one tank of gas in the Vette, in my 300C SRT I would have make a stop about 80 miles out of Santa Fe.
I have a friend with a Pro-Chargered Z06 that runs 6.8 in the 1/8th. The 427 is a great motor -It puts down over 700rwhp on a dyno-jet.
oh dont get me wrong, i think the ls9 is a great motor as well....as is. but with major modifications, it is a pain in the ass due to how thin the walls are. look up "newtech z06" on youtube, there is a black 07 that i posted about awhile ago. i think his rwhp was around 840.

JMatt, Your saying the Dodge dealer was gonna give you a 40k Chally plus 30k for the srt8? In stock form? Or with all your goodies. Im amazed at the 70k offer. But the Coupe does look sick!
i took his meaning as 30k after he traded in his 300 for the chally. 28k from the chevy dealer after he traded in his 300...maybe im trippin but that c6 if its loaded is easily 55k which would make sense mathmatically.

That's correct. I would have to give the Chrysler dealer my SRT-8 AND 30K more for a $42,000 sticker Challenger. OR I give the Chevy dealer my SRT8 AND 28K more for a $59,000 Corvette. Compared to sticker price, the Chevy dealer made me an offer that was $19,000 better. I've never been a "Ford guy" "Chevy guy" or "Mopar guy." I just like cars and acceleration and handling (did a .95G turn on the way home yesterday according to the built in G-meter. LMAO) But I still plan to hang out here. The world already has 2 million Corvette experts. I'd like to think that regardless of what's in my garage, I can still provide a lot of help and knowledge to the LX platform cars. So here I am!!!!
