http://www.webridestv.com/showgallery.aspx?gallery=115302 some updated shots of the current engine and exterior on the Cruiser I painted the valvecover, heatshield, added a Stage 2 WGA, Catch can, 180 T-stat, nightshaded tail lights, backup lights and a 3 point/4 point harness Stevo this is the harness i was telling you about
lookin good nev. love the nightshaded tails.. and the DIY 12$ catch can FTW, wonder who gave ya that idea.. :shifty: i gotta pick me up a catch can this weekend or something..
nice nevy.... im still not thrilled at the whole attaching it to the back seat belt thing though i guess theres no way to have a harness that isnt a PITA somewhere else in the car
that harness detaches and stowes under the seat when not in use if you look at the picture again you'll see the clip behind the headrest
http://www.webridestv.com/photos/more-pt-mods-115302/3 here look again steve it works like a regular belt buckel
they dont make them for the cruiser and i dont think the SRT bar will fit + it stows out of the way and its only gonna be used for Autocrossing another reason for no harness bar is we babysit alot so yeah...
oh i saw that....but i guess what im saying is that i would like to have it in and leave it instead of having to take it down blah blah blah....plus as far as looks go...having a random thing to the back seat doesnt do it for me haha
just try it!!! I know you'll end up liking it! just leave it on and then if you ever have passangers just unclip and stow
I think this is the same thing as you have only from Corbeau (i am partial to them).... this one is retractable (like a normal seat belt) but can lock like a normal harness....if i got one this would be it. http://www.corbeau.com/products/harness_belts/2-inch_retractable_harness_belts/
but there is a difference between Corbeau and Schroth take a closer look at the adjustment straps on the waist the Schroth has them by the buckel the Corbeau has then by the bolt area on the floor which is very hard to adjust when seated my old Weapon R harness which is now in my mustang adjusts like that and it sucks its ok since theres not center concole in the stang and i can reach them but it sucked in the skittle. http://www.modernperformance.com/product_info.php?cPath=173_242&products_id=1321 same page just scroll down and you'll see the S.M.A.R.T. harness
Why would you need to adjust that more than once so that you fit?....it would seem to me that you'd adjust it so that you can fit in there then leave it sine nobody else will ever drive my car lol or am i incorrect with that?
no you do have to lossen and tighten the straps each time you get in. or fit it and try hard and suck in your gut to get it to clip. it has to sit low and tight/snug. remember its not like your regular 3 point seatbelt, if you get the SMART harness then you dont have to adjust the sholder straps. but you will still have to adjust the waist strap
and you cant just loosen and tighten the one by the open door so its easy to get to? you have to do both?
you can do one but its easer if the adjustment strap is in hands reach on your lap vs. on the floor behind the seat. thats one thing i leaned really fast with my first harness
hmmmm :hmm:....well if i do decide to go with a hanress of some kind i will keep this in mind....thanks nevy!!
