Cam turns out my houseguest situation went away for that weekend, but I have to be at a seminar in Monterey Saturday morning - its Concours weekend there and I have to do some cat herding.

So I am in... sort of somehow. Definitely driving out that night.

In three years of some pretty extensive experience with Bob, this is the first negative I've heard. Got any links to these negatives you reference?

Hopin to catch you guys out there! If you setup a hotel, keep me in the loop. Might just stay too. Let'cha all buy me a drink or three :future:

Thats interesting. I had a CMR tune done at SVS a few months back and my SRT still runs like a champ. The only issue I have now is since I switched to crom9r05 my shifts are a little sloppy. I already emailed Bob and plan to talk to him on Monday(he was racing all weekend). So the statement no one will use SVS is totally false. I know of several LX's they have tuned and the list grows weekly. I plan on detouring my Tahoe vacation that Friday to spend a few hours at SVS watching Cam get tuned and then head to Sac Raceway for some 1/4 mile runs.

Absolutely x2 on that. I'm happy to give details, but I think most of ya know my story.

Edit: Oh and as for going to Sac Raceway with an SVS tag... been there several times with the whole SVS crew in person, actually. Bob, Mark, Hank, Don etc... You're right, lots of guys did come up, but all they wanted to talk about is how Bob was making these "station wagons" go so fast, and/or talk about how his 10sec Camaro was running, or ask for tips or... you get the idea.

Looking forward to this. Think I'll get up there early and harass Bob while Cams getting tooned. Maybe I'll distract Bob long enough so I can program in a nice little 3rd to 2nd downshift, right around 2500 under full vac...

lol, youve had your ride for what? 4 months? dude, you need to be around the circuit just a lil bit longer to have any knowledge on the subject. i am going off not only lxers who are cool with the present svs, but from what other enthusiasts have experienced with svs.

i understand youre a newbie, but goddamn dude, actually get your facts straight before you blindly rep a company that has issues. maybe not currently in this community, but im sure just like gsm, their issues will come to light in a big way later.

its funny how you mention the camaro though coolvanilla, his ride is a total joke in the community in sacto. just go to norcal-lsx and do a search for svs if you need some more info on the subject.

    __________

ill say it again just for old time sake, there is a big reason why we dont get out tunes done in sacto and drive 200 miles round trip to get it done right by one of the two tuners i mentioned in the previous post. of course this is just me and the 10 years ive been racing in sacramento talking.....lol.

While 07 may or may not be a newbie, I am not. My experience back 07's. I fully agree with his statements and impressions. So we can move past the newbie stuff now.

I'm not going to play the game of insults with you. Instead I'll continue to ask you to produce some sort of first hand experience. What you've heard is irrelevant and just doesn't matter. Want your opinion to matter? Back it up with actual facts, like we have.

Specifically I'd love to see links to discussions started by someone who's had a motor blown by Bob. I'd also like to see links by fellow drivers/crew cheifs as to why Bob's Camaro is a joke. A class winning 10s car, driven by a first or second year driver on a (relative) shoestring budget is not a joke, in my book.

So, what evidence to you have that justifies the GSM comparison, exactly?

ill get specific info at work when i can email people to link their issues here. i sure as hell wont go forum digging on a sunday night.

i gotta laugh a bit though dude, last time i met you, i was under the impression that this white maggie of yours was the first car you have modified the engine past a cai and exhaust....has this changed? what makes you a veteran after one car build? especially in a city where im from and have raced in for many years. i have been a part of the lsx community and now the lx community for the past 11 years. do i think of you and this norcal as being a newbie? absolutely i do. am i newbie compared to others? absolutely i am. but disrespecting me because of your weak attempts at being someone who thinks they know what is going on is an absolute joke.

my comparison to gsm is this:

people (who arent vocal on forums) that run into major issues with a company vs having a few people (who are forum regulars) have a great time with a company. then a couple morons who jump in on a topic just because they want to defend a vendor who they may get free shit from down the road. it all comes back to bite you all on the ass though. the honeymoon will soon be over for svs and lxers.

i will never have first hand exp with this company for the simple fact that i would never want to waste my money in endangering my vehicle. what ive heard is irrelevant and just doesnt matter? lol, does that make sense to you? of course it is relevant. it is relevant for the simple fact that i know about problems with vehicles that this company built and tuned and i wont stand quiet while a wanna-be declares there are no problems.

I asked for more than hearsay and you haven't provided any. After reading your arguments, I'm not sure I'd trust anything you post anyhow, so don't bother asking your friends on my account. I've got nothing to gain or lose here.

Good luck to ya DRKNESS. I imagine we'll see you out there Fri nite?

sorry dude, i just get pissed off by people like this....dont know shit, but would rather be blind than listen to other peoples issues.

lol, average lxforum member. want info, then argues against said info, then doesnt want the info....lmfao.
