Here is Casper. This was taken in 1994. Casper was 8 months old just over 11 feet long, and weighed in at 78lbs. I got her when she was a mere 6 inches and a half pound. lol

And yes, I was MUCH younger then and even had a stash. haha

I actually used to run a reptile pet store back in the mid 90's. I'll tell you what I used to tell every customer that would ask " do they bite?" Simply..... Anything with a mouth can bite and chances are will bite eventually. question is would you want to get bitten by something that's only going to leave a few pin pricks (depending on the size of the snake) or by something that can leave gaping holes and torn flesh and possibly tear off a limb like a large dog? Snake bites (non venomous) are harmless unless its by something over 15 feet and generally stop bleeding in minutes unless its a bite from an anaconda (they have an enzyme in their saliva that doesn't allow the blood to coagulate normally).

Casper was a very content member of the family. She would roam around the house (supervised, of course!!) with the cats! Neither would bother the other. One of the cats was VERY fasinated by Casper... followed her everywhere, sat in front of her enclosure and just watched, for hours!

    Unless it was feeding time!!!

Wow. What can I say?!!? A big white snake, and Ron with a stash... I need not go any further.

Sad to hear she got sick like that... I don't care what kind of an animal it is, when a pet is sick/dies, it is horrible.

I didn't know you were into snakes Ron! That's awesome. What a gorgeous snake.

Vel and I have a ball python (Basill, yes with two L's). No where near as big as Casper though.

do they scare him or he just doesn't like them? If he's scared of them but willing to overcome his fear I can help if needed. I've helped many people get over that phobia!
