just got done with my first kill or the season, no not a race just a 2 foot diamond back rattle snake in my neighbors back yard. sorry no pics, she was freaking out!
Try letting some king snakes loose near the house and they'll take care of rats and other (venomous) snakes for you. or just call animal control so you don't have to kill it (or posibly run the risk of getting bitten by it), they'll be more then happy to relocate it for you. Just remember, a world without snakes is a world over run with rats!
animal control did not answer (they tried that before they got me) i live on the edge of a national park so i usually kill about 3 a year, no big deal.
My parent's house in Oceanside backs up to Camp Pendleton. The first couple year's they were always having to kill rattlers. My pops sealed up the fence pretty good and they haven't had any for a few years now. You need to watch out for the babies. They puckers just let the venom flow and haven't learned to control it yet. They will getcha little :censored:!
