So I will break it down piece by piece....and probably add more if i forgot stomething which is possible since im still half asleep haha. :thongue2:

Trip down: Crap hahaha....I didn't get to take my car because of the severe thunderstorms that we were getting around me when i left for the TE. :mad2:

Arrival: Good stuff...i always enjoy it when the first two cars you see waiting for you are Vipers ...we broke into our teams and this year i got team Buttercup (last year i was on Shake 'n' Bake)....my team had a bunch of good guys including NHDave which was a good time hanging out with them all day. :bye:

Module 1 - Full Throttle Challenge (Drag Racing): Obviously my favorite event of the day. My record was 4-3 for the day, but two of my losses were redlights....I pulled a best RT of .076....and one of my redlights was -.006 lol...the two redlights were the last 2 runs before the semifinals which sucked cause i was overly cautious in the semi's and got beat cuase of a .466 or so RT...DAMNIT....but NHDave ended up winning (GOOD JOB DAVE!)...:friends:

Module 2 - Road Course: This was a lot of fun also, just not something i would ever do in my own car haha. Its amazing to me how much better your car handles with the Mopar coilovers. Heres what i thought of each car on the course:

Caliber: I got to drive this one once on the course. I know im gonna get blasted for this but I really was not a fan of how this thing drove. I think it was partially cause the road course is a rough course but I just did not like the feel of the car. I also know what people mean now when they say its got a weird tranny. Now dont get me wrong, im not saying it was bad. It was just not for me is all.

300: Got to drive this once. I love the 300, just not on the road course. For some reason I just didnt think it handled as well as I had hoped.

Charger: Got to drive this twice. Thing handled like it was drunk and thats not a good thing lol. Now I know I am not rick or anything but the car was all over the place with way too much body roll. It slid around too much (which might have had to do with the dead tires on it lol) and was just eh I would say.

Maggy: Got to drive this once. It is unfair to compair this to the others as this one had all the mopar goodies on it (Coilovers, CAI, Exhaust) but this thing was by far the most fun. Again thats probably due to the fact that it ate the others alive in the handling department lol. It sounded real good too ...If the 300 and the Charger had the Coilovers on them that course woulda been a BLAST!!!!!!!! haha

Module 3 - Autocross: We got jipped (you'll understand at the end). This was also a lot of fun. The course was set up in such a way that you pretty much never got out of first gear in the Caliber. The Caliber was much better here than on the road course. I was somewhere in the middle of the pack timewise but autocross isnt my thing lol. But I didnt hit a single cone which i thought was good. I had a real good lap in the Jeep when we did the team challenge. This is where we were when I saw the viper crash (see other thread lol)

Module 4 - Advanced Car Control: VIPERS!!!!! Got to drive the blue vert viper on this one. But we only got 2 laps because there was a LOT of lightning and the track shut us down. But i got to drive the viper so it coulda been worse

Module 5 - Hot Laps: Were none. Track was flooded. :cry2:

Finish: Totally lame. There were no prizes (NHdave got jipped) and so did we for the autocross. Nobody was gonna beat our time. WE ONLY HIT 2 CONES AS A GROUP!!!! haha :mad2:

We basically just sat in the tent for a half hour to see if the rain would stop. It didnt. We left lol.

I did end up getting one of the really cool jackets and another SRT T-Shirt.

Wow, that's depressing. We had some rain out here but you can drive Laguna Seca in the rain and we only have lightening once a year. I can't believe they didn't do the prizes. Some people didn't finish events? I didn't like the Caliber either. A bit to "springy" for me and I never did figure out the turbo (although I still won the autocross). The Magnums DO handle differently. Way better than the others. It's just that when you buy one you're sworn to never disclose that (<- I never said that).

I agree with the caliber statement....

yeah we got some really really bad storms here....the last group didnt do the team event in autocross which is why they didnt do the prizes (i would assume the samet hing for drag racing) but they should have done it for everyone who did get to do it and then just given the groups that didnt a tshirt and a hat or something

    :thanks:

I told Brian I wasn't too happy about it either when I left... I don't think he wanted it to get out that I spanked him in the 1/8th mile either.

Was great hanging out with you and your Dad. Hopefully we can get a few match races in Sept at either the Mopar [email protected]. or the next HHP points event@Etown.

GREAT write up Stevo and great pix! Sooooooooooo you now know EXACTLY how my Magnum drives with all the Mopar stuff, cool huh?? (plus I have the b&g) Everyone gives me crap about having all "Mopar" stuff but now you can back me up when I say it ROCKS!!!! I really think the Mopar kit is truly designed for the track (over the street) and I'm dying to do a track day (got a few potential dates at Infineon and Laguna Seca set up later this year)!!

So one question ... the drag racing, was that a full 1/4 or only an 1/8?? We didn't get to do that a Laguna cause there's no place for it there. Infineon has the historic 1/4 strip that I want to do soon!

Whata you talking about, you getting a Maggie????? Did I miss somethin??

Oh and I'll give you somethin to smoke ... down on your knees biatch!

So hey, in the drag racing did you get to run the "Mopar" cars or just the stock ones?? Did you turn ESP off or was that a "NO-NO!"?? Raise revs to 1500 and roll into it?? Leave it in Drive or did you shift yourself??

Yea, figured as much. They were very VERY stern with us about leaving the ESP on when on track, VERY STERN!! Of course it was raining too so to turn it off would have been pretty stupid. We didn't get to do drag racin when I did it so I was just wondering loverboy!!

Jackass?? Me? Kiss it baby!!:moon:
