I think that's the problem with any Viper. He was behind and probably put the pedal a little further down a little too fast and broke it loose... Did it look like sparks coming from underneath it after it went by the camera? Looked at it again, definitely fire from underneath. That just the exhaust?
I saw the show on TV. The Porsche was all wheel drive and highly modified. The Viper was slower from the standing start, caught up, got behind in the twisty's and was catching up when he over powered the track at 150mph racing for the finish. If he hadn't spun out I think he would have won the race.
i think that guy might need a new set of drawers..... wonder what the guy who owned the black gt40 was thinking as the viper went sliding by his parked car at over 100mph!!! lol
You pick. Though probably both. With a track foul of that size, my guess is that Hennessey was behind the wheel. Yes. Even in my truck (half the HP of that green machine), I can break the back tires free shifting from 3-4.
Hey guys and girls... Thanks for sharing the video... That was one heck of an event... The TT Viper was against the AWD Porsche and the car was just coming out a sweeping turn... The backstrech was about 1/4 mile long... Driver of the viper (Not John) was coming out the turn and knew he needed to get the track time back that he lost in the turn... Flipping the High Boost switch in our Venom Viper is simply insane... 300more RWHP instantly... its like getting shot out a cannon... Well at 140 and hitting that switch, caused the car to simply break the tires loose and try to hang on... The Ford GT that the viper went spinning towards is also one of our vehicles that makes over 920rwhp... Definitely a scary moment...
Looks like it handles like a typical Hennessey car. But on to more important issues: Who's the Ho on the starting line?
