There was a Jeep on the show "Passtime", cool show by the way, and it was a silver SRT-8. Driver said it was a 426 and it was S/C'd. Looked like the Vortech set-up or the ASM one. He said it had approx 550 hp if I recall right. He ran a 12:57 or something there about. Anyone know him?
no, if memory serves me correctly, this is an ASM S/C kit. As for the motor, not sure who built that? lol We can only speculate. One thing I can say about the GSM 426's and blower combo, they are monsters. The ASM kit, not so much... lol
I got a ride in the 300c 426 blower Gs car while I was down there. I thought my stock motor set up with nitrous was just as fast if not faster. I knwo it was useing AUX injectors maybe its changed since then. I would love a ride in your car next time I see you ron.
Ron I Love Your New Avatar, I See You Got Your Head (top One) To The Right Scale. Haha. Sorry For The Thread Jack.
Yeah it ran a mid 12 i was thinking thats it...it didnt move that well for what he claimed it had. He might have a safe tune
The ASM kit, if not changed to Direct port tuning, uses the Unichip piggyback. Ralph, :thongue2: lol Hemisfear did me up a new Avvy. Now READ what is under the AVATAR. lol
I saw that episode and that GCSRT8 ran like a turd, especially for having a 426 and a blower on top if it. It didn't launch very hard and if I was the owner I'd be embarrased with that time. I've been in a 426 Jeep without a blower and that thing was freaking nasty off the line, so I'm not sure what's the problem with this guys Jeep.
Actually it was a 12.97 I think. He said it was a 426, but the engine looked bone stock with exception of the SC. Also, he said it was his wife's car!
Yeah...the guy did say is was his wifes car. I don't remember the blown 426 part. I thought they said stock, but again IDR.
which track did it run at???? if it was here in florida at bradenton, than it was in some crappy, humid weather!!!! lol blown 426 for the wife......... hmmmmmmm, would love to meet this gal!!! hahahahahah
