IMO, with every mod no matter the result we want more! I like the VORTECH, but expected more!! I'm not complaining at all, but like anyone that spends money on their sled, "I WAS HOPING FOR MORE"!

Thanks for the post's, tech talk and opinions. I personally have a lot to learn and plan for in the coming year. I want the most out of my current setup and need to figure out how to get that:sorry:

True my friend. True... we'll see what John W. can set up, then, if things look as promising as he/we think... we'll be runnin' BIG numbers and even faster ETs!

I really hope Vortech comes out with a better tune for the SC kits that will allow the 3/36 warranty their offering with the kit. Most people who'll buy this kit will custom tune it and unleash the power of the SC. I know I would that's for sure. I think with my minimal mods I could take the Vortech SC'd cars with no problem with these Very conservitive tunes. I'm not trying to disrepect any of you guys who have the system, but right know I'm not impressed with the initial release package by Vortech.

I HOPE that Vortech adds a disclaimer somewhere (visible) telling the Customer (consumer) that ANY and ALL modifications to their kit is the Sole responsibility of the End user and that engine failure "CAN/WILL" occur?

Guys, if you DO NOT build the engine to fit the needs of the S/Cer while adding MORE boost, Mods, and tuning, engine failure WILL occur!

When will failure occur is the question.

    PLEASE keep this in mind.

I personally think that you guys have a really nice setup and there is more left on the table even with the stock block. How much more is the question, but I know you must be running some fat tunes there.

Ron, no one here is talking about adding boost a stock block. We're talking about reving up a very safe, CARB legal tune to a true (and safe) performance tune.

I don't think they should have to put that disclaimer on. I think that if you're going to screw with it then you take your chances. Sometimes you win sometimes you lose, but either way its not Vortech's fault.

That is the response that 'we' collectively 'feared' would be widespread... BUT, that is also a main reason I posted the results of the runs Rick and I did the other day... to KEEP THE MEMBERSHIP INFORMED CONSUMERS.

Adam's right big daddy! I'm not looking to add boost to my car yet... I just wanna maximize the boost I have now via tuning.

I know that no one is planning (at this time) to add more boost.

And sorry Adam, you are wrong. Vortech SHOULD add a disclaimer. Why, it will protect Vortech from libel lawsuits AND finger pointing later on.

This has happened MANY many times. Especially when it is done from a user who knows absolutely nothing about mechanics. lol

Vortech already has a disclaimer. Their warranty only covers the head unit. If you change the pulley or tune its void.

So am I to understand this correctly, Vortech's Warranty is ONLY for the S/C head unit and NOT motor components?

    YIKES!

The the tune has NOTHING to do with the warranty then. lol

For the price and lack of tuning may not be worth the purchase? IMO.

Screw the warranty then. Tune it to run like it should and have some "more" fun!

There's a brand new red Charger SRT8 here and I ran him two lights in a row and pulled on him by three to four cars, but this guy may not be a good driver. He said he was bone stock and definitely didn't have an exhaust upgrade. At least he was impredded with the Vortech system. I think he was just not used to diving his car yet.

Uhhh, hello? How many times do we need to ask? writing, writing, remember? anyone seen it in writing? I'm positive they have a written warranty. I just think no one has asked them for it.

    Ouch. Sorry to hear this.

Well then I certainly hope that Vortech rethinks the tune.
