Scott tuned my car about 5 months ago,( at that time he was getting a lot of great reviews) the car has been fine since. Do you guys think I should put the car back in stock form before anything BLOWS up?

I am not bashing nor criticizing only attempting to help you understand.

It is my opinion that with a Chrysler Starscan the stock tune can be very easily reflashed into the ECU. There was no need for you to purchase a Diablo (imo). I recently had a vehicle reflashed back to stock, where the Diablo had been "lost" and the vehicle needed to be returned in order to drive it. The dealer reflashed it with no problem.

The converter most recommended with a supercharger is a 2800-3000rpm. If you remember when you would accelerate you would notice the rpm rise but sound like it was slipping until it got beyond 2500-2700rpm. If it no longer has that sound or hold the brake......begin to give it gas......and if by 2300-2400 the tires begin to spin, the stock converter was reinstalled.

PS.....you have my prayers with your father and chemo......I was there a few years back.

doesnt look like you run near the explosive mods ron does but in reality any major tune mistake can blow a motor.

Hal still has his car over at GSM. Mine was tuned by GSM and runs great. If the tuners who tuned your car Ron saw the base spark high so as to overcome the knock sensor retard, I think that is normal for our kind of stroke with piston slap and even valve train noise. Your car wouldn't blow up under those circumstances because it is mostly false knock. I am not sure if this was their issue or not. I know you have a wide band so I don't think it was air/fuel related.

If GSM took the stall converter out, there are legal channels that can be utilized. I presume the original invoice from GSM included the 2,800 stall converter purchase. If they took it, California has tuff laws against such activities. You can probably get someone in your neck of the woods to drive your car, who also has a stall converter in their car, and they should be able to tell if it is still in there or not. Maybe SgtS can give it a whirl for you.

Sorry to hear about your dad. I will say a prayer for him too.

Not trying to thread jack but I am tired of this. A few weeks ago I was rushing to get my jeep ready for DynoSteve and figured I would give GSM a call for headers. Sure enough they had them so they said they would call me as soon as they got back from coating, well never got a call. Over the phone I was also quoted a price but then was told if I pay in cash I would get a better deal. So finally I called one day and the headers where in, so I headed down there to pick them up. I didn't have cash so I decided to take my check book. As I am writing the check, I was told if there was any possible way that I could go cash the check because they had been having problems with checks. Here I started to get a little pissed off. I told the guy that the bank I bank with wasn't so big and I did not know if there was one in that area. He asked for the name of my ba.nk and within five minutes he walks into his office, walks out with a google map to my bank in there area. I could not believe this, so I was about to walk about because you figure something wasn't right, but then I though this would help a friend out that is having even bigger problems than you and I. I drive to bank and cash my check go back and say remember you said if I pay cash I get a better deal, so the price went down a bit, but for them to go look up my bank without even telling really pissed me off. You know something is not right when all they want is cash. To me money is money whether it be cash, check, credit, or gold. Guys my friend is getting screwed pretty bad but I hope he will make a change and close GSM doors for good.

It's too bad. I'll say it again...I can't see them being around any more this time next year...at least not under their current name. My prayers are with you and your Dad. Hope he gets well again soon.

Carl, my original 2 bar map sensor was scaled down to a 1 bar map and then tuned to that. That is where my tune was JACKED up.

As for Hal, yes his car is still there and one of the reasons I have been hush hush about my tune. But after hearing this story yesterday morning, I could no longer bite my tongue. Oh, and coinsidentally there are two more stories I received yesterday as well. Those will be shared later.

I am certainly not a GSM cheerleader although I consider DanRealtor a friend. My car was tuned well by them though.
