Somebody did not know how to drive this one.. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cars...hash=item380044007637&_trksid=p3756.m14.l1318
that is the baddest mercedes on the planet. give me an 08 viper, put twin turbos on it and run circles around that $300,000 mercedes.
anybody can buy a viper and throw turbos on it, there are only a select few that can have the privilege of rolling a merc of this class.
So what's up with that? Right front corner "absolutely no frame damage" yet it's got a salvage title?
ins companies will usually do this, thats why the coverage on a car that exp is astronomical. my little brother writes ins for quite a few companies, his co-worker writes harrahs and drives an slr and saleen s7....he cant get coverage through nationwide...
I still don't get it. So with 3,500 miles on it and maybe way less than half the value to fix it and they total it?
according to my brother, they dont do it the same way they would insure our cars and then total them out. they look at value of the automobile and if it is financially viable (or something to that affect) to total out the car or to pay for its repairs. even when its repaired, the diminished value may greatly differ from its original....by more than half in most cases. this ins company may have found that the actual cash value of the car was less than the repairs and thus diminished value would be. AIG and travelers are a couple of the "high end" ins companies that will insure an exotic fully. a lot of these other companies (including my brothers) will only offer a partial "full coverage" that might have these "reduced value" and "diminished" clauses. for a more in depth explanation, i would have to ask my brother again about it.
