It's for bluetooth phones. Press the phone button on your mirror and it will talk you through the menus. After you get your phone paired up you can create an address book in the car, you can voice dail (after pressing the phone button on the mirror), it will tell you when someone dials in. Pretty much you press the button on the mirror once each time you use the phone. It uses the microphone in the mirror and the left front stereo speaker. It will interrupt music for incoming or outgoing calls. You can do a lot of configuration. There's a whole section in your user's manual. It's pretty nice. Once you get everything setup all you have to do is get in the car with your phone and it's automatically connected to the car U-connect. If you're talking when you get in and want to "transfer" the call to the car or if you're talking when you get out and want to "transfer" the call to the phone then you're going to have to press a button.
Mr. Wizzard to the rescue!!!!!! WOOT!! Hahahaa, you know Dave he asked me in a pm and I was gonna suggest he just pm you as I just KNEW you'd know, lol! Good thing we gotta brain around here or we'd all be lost, hahahaa! :worthy:

The lady in mine must be a blonde because she always calls nonsense numbers when I want to call someone in my phone book.
HAHAHAHAHA... Yeah, my brother has that bluetooth option in his Caliber...I was kinda jealous, 'cause it sounds like a really neat option, but then I remember his Caliber isn't an SRT, and the jealousy just :magic: dissapears...
I don't use tobacco products, but maybe it would help if I erased eveything and started over...before I've had a few cold ones.
actually dave, this is only true if you have your phone set up to be continuously blue tooth "on" so to speak..... i can switch the wireless connections in my phone to NOT automatically link to the u-connect. although, i pretty much leave my phone set up to link when ever i get in the car. i get a kick out of seeing how far away from the car i can walk before the phone and the car lose connection!!!!
Good point Chris, I've forgotten about all that stuff. I have a smart phone, it just does what I think.:bigwink: Knowing how to transfer a call between U-connect and the phone is especially useful when you want to switch to a headset during a call in the car.
