Red light, I'm waiting patiently on transitway with 100 kph limit (nobody ever drives that slowly on it though).

3 lanes - I'm in the left lane, with a Sunfire beside me and the lane beside him is open (open lane dissappears/merges by next set of lights).

So I'm sitting wondering if someone with a quick car might soon come and take the open lane then along come Mr. Bimmer. All black 745Li with limo tint and serious sub-woofers from the sounds of things.

Green light, we both roll out about 1/2 throttle then a tractor trailer merges way up ahead into his lane - he must be assuming that all he has to do is floor it and he'll smoke the 3.5 L wagon with big wheels.

In seeing the truck, instantly and reactively, we're both on it and pull hard to about 120 kph (I was only able to put about a car length on him) then he runs outta room so has to shut her down behind the truck.

I'm pretty sure he was surprised and bet he'd like a portion of his $1200 a month lease payment returned to go towards the maintenance bills of that thing.

Geeze, Chris, I guess I shouldn't be gloating hey?
Just Googled the specs on the thing and it's only got 325 h.p?
Hmmm, it pulled frickin' hard...I wonder if it was a different 7 series...

Good story! 120 kph comes up so quick that's not a lot of time to display what the SRT8 can do, never know who has what for mods either. I personally do not think our cars are killer 0-60 mph rides so if you can take someone down low it's probably going to get real ugly up top :)

Nice Joe haha. I saw one this morning and was wondering how much power they had as well since it had some fat tires out back. Nice, big car. Yes, 100km's is what 60mph? I finsih the quarter at 114mph+ consistently so there was a lot left in your car as you know. Must have pissed that guy off though lol.

Sorry man, when I took my 20's off last year for winter and put some 17" 65 series tires and SXT hubcaps on, I also as a joke bought some 3.5L HO emblems for the front fenders (took the hemi badges off)...there are pics here somewhere...http://www.srtconnection.com/forums/showthread.php?t=100&page=5
Pan down the thread a bit... you'll see the "winter mod"

He must of modded it Joe, you should have pulled him more than that even being stock.

Nice story, just be careful out there all, some real crazy's out these days. Quick scary story. Was getting on the freeway the other day, nice long 2-lane on-ramp I frequent often and love, can really get some speed up! Light to no traffic. One car in front and none behind. We're in the left lane (with one truck in the right) and we're waiting for the light to change. Car in front is a new Infiniti G37S sedan, black, tinted windows, very nce. Light turns and he goes but not nearly as fast as I wanted to so I jump to the right lane to go by him. He hits it and so do I. Well I went right by him and as I reached the freeway there was traffic so I had to slow (was well over 70 at that point). I get to the middle lane (3 lane hwy) and relax.

Next thing I know this idiot in the Infiniti comes flying up on me and ALMOST rear ends me (I swerved to the right lane at the last minute as he went to the left lane). He's flipping me off too. WTF?!?! I didn't cut him off or swipe him on the on-ramp, I didn't even look at him, I just blew by him minding my own business, wtf?!?! I'm pissed so I flip him off too. Next thing I know he's slowed down waiting for me holding a tire iron in his hand out the window. WTF?!?! I took the next turn off.

NUT JOBS OUT THERE so be careful.

No kidding. I was litterally yelling "WHAT THE HELL DID I DO?!?!" out the window! Apparently buying an Infiniti doesn't buy you class.

No doubt, Scott. Two seconds ago I was reading of a incident of road rage in Toronto this morning where a guy in a sedan cut off an SUV driver and then slammed on the brakes.
The SUV swerved to avoid, hit the guard rail, tipped, and barrell rolled ejecting the driver who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say the Pontiac sedan kept driving after doing it!
    Holy whack-job...
