BMC Performance: Install of Vortech Supercharger on SRT8U

Today we started the installation of the Vortech supercharger kit on Kris' SRT-8 Charger! This is one of the first production kits (if not the first) installed so we're taking it slow to make sure we check things out along the way and not only make sure this first install goes well, but that we're able to answer customer questions and do additional installs. There are some things we are going to install for the purpose of getting to know the kit components, but then customize a bit, so this will probably be a week-long process as we order some new things, too!

Special thanks to Vortech for getting us the kit the moment it was available and for the great superchargers, as always!

First things first, I got most all the fittings and little parts assembled and then began installing. Here are some pics from today's work ...

Pump installed (Interesting that the instructions said to cut off the plug on the harness and rewire each wire to other locations. Wiring = my favorite! LOL. Final wiring was completed after this pic ... it's all super tidy now!):


After running the wiring for the pump across the car and up to the fuse box, I hid it completely by notching the fuse box and lid. The lines aren't visible AT ALL now anywhere in the car. I need to bring the dremel tomorrow to smooth out the notches since I cut them just to see if this would work today.

I didn't take pics of the wiring or some of the other stuff that is prepped and ready to install, so tune in tomorrow for more pics and info!

Really nice of y'all to post pics of the install. This way we can watch a professional at work, and good promo for BMC Performance.
Two points...I always think it is cool watching a woman work on a car.
