We are in the process of installing ProParts gauges in a few cars and I wanted to share some info about them. We first saw these at PRI last year and several NASCAR drivers have switched to ProParts gauges instead of Auto Meter. After doing a bunch of research on them, I am really impressed with the quality and features, so we are switching to them in all our shop and race cars.

Here is some info from the ProParts site:

The Spek™ Boost gauge is electric and microprocessor based. The patented Wide-Angle Dial design creates the largest viewing dial ever mounted on a 2 1/16” gauge. High intensity LED technology and light distribution is designed for day or night driving with programmable dimmer setting for both Day/Night. Seven color programmable faceplate illumination in Red, Blue, Green, Orange, Yellow, Purple or White. Both the dial and pointer brightness are individually adjustable to match factory OEM gauges. Brushless stepper motor for an accurate pointer reading of a 280 degree full sweep analog readout. Gauges are programmed through patented water resistant stainless steel sealed command keys located on the faceplate for demanding environments. No control boxes or hand-held remote control needed. Peak playback value can be retrieved. High and Low lighted alert levels can be set with programmable outputs signal to activate relays or communicate to other SPEK controllers. Spek™ gauges come with a plug receptacle for connecting the sender wiring harnesses. Self diagnostics software will flash display if the sensor signal is lost.

    Features:
*Brushless Stepper motor with full sweep 280 degree pointer.
*7 color background setting with day and night background and pointer dimmer
*Replaceable external MAP pressure sensor with temperature compensation.
*Plug and Play wire harness for easy installation
*Patented lighting delivers one of the largest and brightest displays ever assembled on a 2 1/6 inch gauge
*Peak playback displays highest Boost level
*Programmable output to control relays or communicate to other Spek controllers.
*Available in Smoked or Clear Lens, Chrome or Black Bezel with White, Silver or Black display
*Fits standard 2 1/16 inch ProPods mounting Pods, Dash Pod or universal #81102 steering column mount.
*Easy to read Analog pointer (No flashing and blinking digital displays.)

We're running a special in July for discounted pricing and free shipping on all gauges and pods, so check it out!

It can monitor whatever you want to run, but it does not come with a sensor. Here is what their site says:

THE AIR/FUEL GAUGE WILL MONITOR MOST FACTORY NARROW OR WIDE BAND SENSORS. IF
REQUIRED, THE MODEL 13116, NARROW BAND AIR/FUEL SENSOR CAN BE INSTALLED.

Here is the full data sheet on the a/f gauge: http://www.propartsllc.com/pdfs/Air_Fuel_Ratio.pdf if you want to read some more on it. I have a DynoJet Wideband Commander and I am just going to swap out the gauge unit itself. I like to run the wideband.

Just a bump for these awesome gauges. We are watching the Coca Cola 600 today...well in between the rain lol...and noticed nearly all the Top Drivers have now switched to Pro Parts Gauges. They still run the AutoMeter decal for $$ Contingency Sponsorship, but the gauges alot of them choose to use are these Spek gauges.

These gauges are awesome, here is some more info on them.
ProParts, LLC is a premier Racing and alternative Energy engineering performance company. In 2008 our Spek™ gauges has been installed in the top cars in NASCAR with great success, we worked closely with the top drivers in the sport to develop the fastest growing gauge in NASCAR history. We have the most accurate Pit Road Tach in the industry with patent pending software that allows the driver to focus on the traffic and not the analog pointer found in old school technology. Our progressive lighting can be set to be within 1 RPM of Pit Road for maximum points and speed. In addition our Spek™ gauges will trouble shoot the pressure and temp sensors and flash RED and Green if the sensors loose connection. Safety is a big concern with the drivers and owners and we developed programmable set point that will alert the drivers if a unsafe condition is detected, such as low oil pressure of high temperatures. ProParts was granted a US patent for our lighting and wide angle dial gauges that produces a larger diameter display using the standard 2 inch cup size.
