I have had my Diablo since R14 .. I now have R17 in it and havent touched it since ... What is the best stock diablo tune available for my mod's? BB exhaust, K&N CAI, 180 tstat ... Is a CMR tune even worth it since I have no plans for future performance mods?
Definitely worth it. Talk to dynosteve of RDP and see what kinds of numbers he was getting from near stock SRT's. If you get a custom CMR tune, you will need to update to the latest Crom which I believe is 9r04...or something like that lol
oh, see I didnt know a CMR would really benefit me w/o heads, cam etc .. I know 6.1luvr is heading up for a tune and dyno day in PA. Just trying to actually see if it is beneficial for me to go! Thanks Milan
Anthony. DO NOT HESITATE to go out to DuBois, PA for DynoSteve's CMR tune session. You will see upwards of 30+ rwhp gains. That and Steve can really get your torque management down as well.
Note that Steve does email tunes. For a basically stock car there shouldn't be much difference than getting it in person. Heads, cam, blowers, etc. you really need to have it done on a dyno, but without those kinds of mods it isn't all that necessary. Give Steve a call or email and see if it's worth a 4 hr. drive.
Have you had experience with a custom CMR??? What kinda of results have you seen if so?? That always makes things a lot nicer Ron, plus I dont think the rides really going to be 4 hours considering I'd be driving the 300. LOL Great advice Dave .. I'll make sure to call him soon. Thank you.
Ive done tunes with Josh over email with great results but ive seen steves cars that he has tuned and he does amzing things to these cars. he know how to tune and get more drivabilty to our cars
LOL. I drove 21 hours straight, hit a deer, got stopped 3 times and had NO view across Iowa and Nebraska...alll for a little over 100 HP. 30hp is well worth 4 hours
dave is right again!!!!! :worthy::worthy: actually anthony, i just got one of dynosteves emailed tunes and now that i have actually installed it correctly and driven the car aggressively, it is really beginning to "learn" the tune!!! man does my sled pull hard now for a fairly stock 6.1!!!!
Anthony...Steve's tunes are really worth it!!!! It's too bad you missed him at HHP a couple of weeks ago. That's alot closer drive from WestChester.
ummm YEA, I just talked to Josh at HHP the other day .. he said the same thing! F*CK! HAHA. I'm going to email dynosteve, anyone know his email? BTW - Paxton, I'll be in your area tomorrow picking up my sway bars from HHP!
Probably have better luck pming him here...he gets swamped with emails lol...in case though, it's [email protected]
I thought Josh would say that...he knows Steve's tunes are the shit!!! Josh tuned my car after my cam install, but Steve's tune blows his away!!! Anyways I would try to catch ya there tomorrow, but I've got a kids pool party to go to tomorrow. Maybe I'll catch ya around sometime in the future. DynoSteve also does email tunes, so if you can't hook-up with him somewhere else than get an email tune by him. I know Chris(Legmaker) got one recently and is very happy with his.
I dont have heads/cam blah blah blah and Dyno Steve is doing my car today! just drive on up to Stamford right now! hahahaha
Yeah its always fun to see what Josh has going on down there ... I might meet you at the pool party! lol!
