I just got my V's 275/40/20 put on this past weekend. The tires run nice, but I have yet to properly break them in.

I bought them from F-Monte in LA for $160 a tire, plus $15 per tire for shipping. I ordered them late last Tuesday and they arrived Thursday!

I had them mounted and balanced at the Discount Tire (DT) in Pacific Beach. I know the manager their, SHAWN. Another DT told me that they don't carry the V's. SHAWN did the leg work and found out that they can. I wish I would have known this, it would of saved me the SHIPPING and HAULING of the tires!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would of got the warranty on the tires and so forth.

If you need tires give SHAWN a call at Discount Tire in Pacific Beach. He can ship them out as well.................Let him know you know me. :huglove:

Either I get them or I don't. It'll save on shipping if he can. I'd give it two weeks at most.

Oh Ralph... OH RALPH... you just opened a can of worms!!!

The answer to your question is: not really. Here's the scoop:

Ryan told me about Vortech through his connection. But that guy was quoting like $4000. I couldn't do it and had to remove myself from consideration. Then Ryan stated it was about $3000, and I said I'd do it for that much. Then, Ryan disappeared over the next 2 days. Hmmm... something smelled fishy, and for the first time, it wasn't Ryan's underwear.

0 60 Gone (Dan - GCSRT8) posted on here that they were looking for test vehicles. He called me/I called him and got the phone #. I called Vortech, and got in because of the # Dan provided.

Little did I, or anyone else, realize that Ryan was already 'in' at Vortech before I even called. I PM'd/Posted a few folks to spread the good word. Who filtered it to you all, I have no idea... maybe Ryan, or maybe you all heard it as a result of me sending some PM's.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not blamming Ryan for almost screwing me... he's not American, so you have to give him some slack. LMAO!!!

I did some sort of good deed that particular night in question!!! I was the one who tipped ALL you turds to that particular thread. And, out of loyalty and honor, didn't throw my name back to the head of the line even though I could have afforded the lowered price!!! I must REALLY care about you guys. LOL

So does that mean that if one Discount Tire carries them that all Discount Tires carry them? Like the one about a mile away from me here in San Jose?

    160.00 a tire is a good price!
A: Who is "F-Monte in LA"?
B: Did Shawn @ Discount Tire give you the same 160.00 price?

    :cry2::friends:

Probably not. Remember, we're talking about Ryan here... see below...

RE: A: "F-Monte in LA", translated into fucking English is: Fairmont Tire in Los Angeles. I told him the name about 10 times and he still doesn't get it... goes to show that "English as a second language" classrooms don't work worth a shit and just end up causing Americans heartburn.

RE: B: I doubt they'd sell the tire for that much... I don't think our friend inquired about price... I could be wrong.

So how do they feel? Traction? Etc.... Those are definitely, for now, probably, most likely, unless I find a better tire, depending on if I have the money, going to be my next set of tires...

I am running 275/40/20 all around.

    IMHO...
This is THE tire. Price is right, tread pattern is VERY unique.
It holds the road well and is very smooth.... also NO noticible noise. It is also Z rated.

Call Shawn bro! Tell him you know me and see what price he gives you. I didn't even ask him about the price. He told me he could get them. It would have been easier and less expensive if I had checked with him from the start. Oh, well now I know and I'm trying to pass it on for everyone else.

I like them a lot! They ride much better then the stock. Ricky went out with me for a spin last night and recommended a couple more lbs. The over all look is "WAY" better then stock. IMO they eat up the wheel well and give her alittle lower profile look. I wish I had bought them sooner.
Agree with everything mentioned above. The ride, look, size and ability to rotate all the tires however the hell I want is "AWESOME"!

Marky, baby, they are gripper and IMO help to get the HERCULES power to the ground. I've very very very very happy with them so far and haven't even had them on the car a week yet! If you need tires the V's are the way to go, "PERIOD"............................................:worthy:
