my buddy just got an srt8 jeep, and the mopar CAI on it doesn't look too impressive, is there better intakes out there?
Yep, check out the BWoody CAI for the Jeep SRT8. It appears to have been tested against other CAI's and most people have been happy with it from what I hear. http://bwoodyperformance.com/product_info.php?cPath=32&products_id=260

my thoughts exsactly.Shit maybe gotstroke will some how get unbanned for the day to tell us all about it..... But look in to the Bwoody
I think there all about the same as we have a mixture in our group that have B WOODY, GSM, MOPAR, VOLTANT and we all dyno about the same with mods of cai, preditor, 180 stat and cmr tune and some have cat back exhaust.
I am going to try the RDP Motorsports CAI. If I like it half as much as the tune, I will trash the Mopar CAI.
cai are just like ''cold medicine''. they all say and do the same DAMN thing. its really a popularity thing.
Maybe not... there could be more than just flow involved and where it gets if from. I went from the Mopar CAI to an AFE Stage II. Mainly 'cause with the Mopar my IAT ran about 9* over my AAT. Seems the AFE is worse or I have a bad IAT sensor. Lately with temps around 90 or above my IAT is running a good 20* above my AAT... this has got to be pulling more timing. Both CAIs are basically the same in physical location so materials might matter. ...but I'd rather not discuss it.
If a CAI is the only mod they will all be about the same for daily driving. I have stuck with my Volant thru many mods but the main decision was to be able to hide my N20 in the box and there are better mods to spend another $300 on...
i lol'd at that as well. i knew this would come up before i even clicked on this thread. i have a dub air but i heard thats like one of the worst ones, i dunno.
