Hey guys ... hope you all are doing well, haven't been around for a while again ...

    Question ...

My car needs new rotors ... I had the TSB done at 3000 miles and now have 41,000 ... from warping and having the rotors cut along with the way I drive, the rotors are shot ...

How should I get new rotors from ... keep in mind the car will be sold within the next 6 - 8 months so I dont want to go the expensive (brembo) route ...

Also, does anyone have any experience with HAWK(?) brake pads?

Oh, one last thing, should I get slotted, cross drilled, or slotted AND cross drilled.

Thank you in advance ... Cheers and be safe.

#1...why are you selling and what are you getting? lol

#2...you need to come back more often we miss you! haha

#3...Power Slot would work if they have a size that would work (i believe they do)

#4...Just go with Slotted if your getting rid of it

#5...Hawk pads are good...getting a set for my truck...not THE BEST...but would defiantly work

You suck lol...good luck buddy. But, for the love of creatures big and small, you should really get the 08 Jeep SRT8 since I know you need a bit more room. Just sayin'...haha

    quoting mos def:

I SAID I HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE!!! GODDAMN!

HAHA, i thought i would leave that open...i had one shatter on me. 3k miles. snapped, around 4 pieces. i think thats why they dont drill em much anymore. kenny brown thunderbird, not much track time.

    hahahaha

i am not a fan of drilled rotors....but thats a personal thing more than anything....

i have heard that the drilled rotors are weaker (dont know that its true) and i just dont like the look

maybe it was just a bad apple?

Yeah, but you gotta say guys, the drilled rotors look pretty cool lol...not much use though if you can't stop when approaching the top of a hill to find out traffic is at a standstill. eek.

i think they stopped cross drilling even in the ultra hot perf cars now. i think they only run dimples with the porsche and ferrari ceramics.

Power Slot said they stock the slotted but not the drilled, even though the drilled are available. He said the drilled are the same cost, they both have their benefits and the drilled are "just as strong if drilled correctly."

R! Concepts sells some good rotors. Give them a call. They also carry Hawk pads.
