A question for y'all, as this will be a point of contention down the road.

How open does everyone think the database should be?

Do you think it should be for:

Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep, SRT only
Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep, any model
Any make/model

I ask this question, because it became a point of contention on another forum with some guys, who were barely members, posting numbers for hotrods of many different flavors. It became hard to get accurate comparisons at a glance. And frankly, made it less fun seeing "off-brand" rides posted in a Mopar oriented database.

 

I do not have a problem with off cars posting their times, HOWEVER, if these are guys who JOIN, put up TS on the DB, then are NEVER seen again, I SAY CYA.......

 

That's what I think as well. But who's gonna take out the trash? HaaHAAA?

 

They DB is cool cuz you can sort by N/A or 10,11,12 sec etc. So its pretty easy to get rid f the rif raf, Actually as long as Im in the top 10 N/A cars Im happy. :thumb:

 

SRT - or their siblings (i.e. 5.7L cars or non-SRT Neons, etc)

At lxforums there's always bozos showing up just to put their TransAm on the list to muddy up the waters. They may even post a time or two, but then their gone.

There are timeslip databases on the internet for everyone.

This should be for SRT's and their look-alike brothers.

My bad...OK ..... Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep ..... Sorry. In my brain, I included the Jeep franchise in with Chrysler. :sorry:

 

I feel we should not have any non-Chrysler brands. At this time,we should only Modern Mopars, that includes all Chrysler branded lines. I know there's a 12 second PT Crusier around here somewhere, and some 12 second Ram's. We are geared more towards all SRT's, but shouldn't exclude non-SRT Chrysler vehicles.

I was building a high 8, low 9 Z28. It would be apples to oranges. Just clutters up. Maybe a 10 sec, 11 sec, 12 sec, etc. forum, and then one for other vechicles

 

I agree with the SRT only...and I have a 9sec Mustang and several others. I think the GTO's and Vetts and CTSV's should stay in their own yard and play with each other. I don't mind posting a kill or two about Mustangs and any bowtie concocksion, but I won't be telling about kills from my other cars here.
