that looks remarkably similar to my DC STB but costs almost double.... is there a difference between the two?
Whenever Whipple finally comes out with a blower I'll have a "slightly" used DC strut tower brace and a "stenciled" blue M on the front of it for sale....for only $300. LOL This one does look remarkably like the DC one. But, most guys "seem" to be show car dudes who love to pop that hood "wow" people with the engine bay...so, this seems like a good brace.
There wasn't one before but when I went to the Track Experience they had one for the Calibers. Probably just branched out a bit from there.
Everyone I know! To each his own. "I" personally have seen only one car that "I" thought was complete (Randysway). Most of the other ones are a stock engine with some BT caps and other piecemeal stuff. "I" don't get excited about paint jobs, engine bays, and wheels! But hey....that's just me. I really ONLY car about how the car feels to me while I'm in the drivers seat! That's why I think the Mopar STB will be good for some folks who are going with a theme. I haven't seen many themes designed around DC Motorsports....LOL
Uhh Rick, Ralph meant who do you know that's getting a Whipple. I don't think he cares about strut tower bars. He's more a fan of going straight. Really, really fast, but still straight.
Personally, I think I originally purchased the stb because I bought the KWV1's and was going to order the Hotchkis sways. The fact that it looked pretty cool to me added to it. I really haven't done anything aesthetically...it's mainly about performance for me as well so I have to utilize my mod money towards that end. The car looks good to me as is.
STB's I have the KWV1's with the Hotchkis Sway Bars and the STB. The combo is killer. Between the reduced chassis flex, lowered center of gravity and the Toyo Proxes 4's with 245's & 275's the car just flat out hooks. Very little body roll at all, ever. Wicked fast through the twisties. I managed a 1:21.588 at CA Speedway on the infield road course on 6/14/08. Made a lot of SRT-8 believers that day!!!!! BTW: We did try the STB on my buddy's stock Magnum SRT-8. We did notice a difference with just the STB. Performance difference, not just aesthetics.
Ricks still mad that he got Rancho RS5000s from ORW instead of kw's Hey Rick I'll race u in my lil 5.7 with the strut bar at the Q
Anytime brother...as long as YOU pay my entrance fee and gas. I don't waste my money on fag racing...see quote in sig! LOL
