jason - have you combed the various other forums and put out some feelers there??? seems like there is always someone getting rid of a set for some reason. you will not go wrong with the kw v1's. i very much like matts set up, mostly because you can ACTUALLY adjust the rears, but for me, once i set things, i won't be tinkering afterwards. kind of why v2's were really not for me. anyway, keep poking around some of the other forums and see if you can find a deal!!! remember, unless you plan on doing the install yourself, figure on another 300 for install and alignment!!!!
I have them and love them they are just a bit $$$ For the price of my rears you can buy the kw v2s at all 4 corners
okay, okay okay, hold up one second.how do you adjust the dampning from inside the car? i want to lower my magsrt8 about 1/2 inch to 1inch. so what is the best buy,kw1 or kw2?
You buy a TEIN kit with their EDFC controller. It has little motors on the top of each shock and a control module in the cabin to adjust dampening on the fly.
I sure as heck remember the KWs going for close to $1K when I got the Mopars, I was VERY tempted to get them instead except my anal side kept saying "Mopar, Mopar, Mopar", I hate being anal, lol! What Chris said, keep looking, $1300 is too much. I thought they were all the same for all the LXs, what's dif bout the Chargers?? Wow, RIGHT ON THE HEAD Dave, couldn't agree more, nice!! :good: (and this coming from a guy that's got the stock suspension still, lol!) TOTALLY agree!! Nice Chris! :thumb2: You listening Momo?? Now that's cool, didn't know they could do that.
Dave you're probably right. I'd likely adjust them when we did our EQ Proving Grounds/Lake run, but other than that... Chris, yeah, been there, done that... no one is selling. Install: I hear ya. I hope I'm not patronizing you, but lowering the car is not equated to dampening. Dampening is how hard/soft you want the car to ride (cruising or track). Ride height is different and can not be adjusted from within the car unless you have airbags.
You win the most compasionate car guy award. Anyone else would have just told him that yes, you KNOW that. You said you wanted to lower your car so you need coilovers. Since you're getting coilovers you wanted to get the ones that work best doing what coilovers do. But instead you took the high road on that one swallowing your pride to give Momo a little ego boost. He probably turned right around to his kid that he's babysitting and said "See, your dad knows what he's doing and he's is a pretty big wheel on that forum". :flowers:
Thanks! And YES the sun has shined on the dogs ass since December 7, 2008 (son was born). He's a good luck charm the little fart! Love the little guy!!! BTW: The sun shone even BRIGHTER on this dog's ass... I'll explain more at the end of this post... stay tuned! Rarely indeed. But when it shines, we're talkin' San Diego sunshine. Man, this ain't half of it! I give my share as well... so... we're like family... there's alot of love and hate... mostly hate, but its a warm, fuzzy kind of hate! Especially my best friend and the father of my Godchild above! You bet your ass I did... plus, you should've heard what I told him about all you!
Wanna hear how the sun shone even brighter on this dog's ass today? I just bought KW Variant 1's from Mr. Smith!!! Yes, they're Milan's "old" ones that were installed on a vehicle for like a week!
"Sunshiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine on a cloudy day" Sing it baby!! Now that's funny Jason, what happened, how come Mr. Smith didn't want them?? (or did you coerce him with some EQ debauchery, lol!)
I don't want to speak for Mr.Smith... but no EQ debachery was involved. Although I could offer him some Mexican PORK when next he comes to San Diego... BTW: Ryan, will you be available?!?! LMAO!!!
