Here's the text of a post listing many of the big HP cars expected at Columbus:

    1. JMatt & SRT-Hardware will both be there. These are the only 2 cars to ever run 10's.
    http://www.srtconnection.com/forums/...ead.php?t=4618

    2. MattFab and the rediculous Jeep he built is going to be there. This is the Jeep that was in the Pump Gas Drags in Memphis this year.
    http://www.srtconnection.com/forums/...ead.php?t=1061

    3. PPP will have the 11.08 All Motor car there. (but we wont be all motor ;))

    4. Gilgamesh and his Supercharged 426 will be there

    5. Redfoxx will be there (First car in the 11's NA)

    6. Mauire will be there (PPP customer that runs 11.6's NA but will not be NA ;))

    7. Paul will be there (PPP customer with 426 and RDP Blower)

    8. Fixxer will be there (PPP customer with Turbocharged 426)

    9. Yaw's Jeep will be there (PPP 426 with Turbo making 650rwtq)

    10. Jack will be there (runs 11.6's NA)

    11. Walter will be there (makes 600rwhp/660rwtq but never ran with radials)

    12. Several Turbo 5.7's/6.1's

    13. Mr. Morgan (arguably the nicest Charger in the country. 426 to boot)

    14. lou1355 (n2o/426 making easily 700rwhp)

    15. We are trying our best to have a Challenger there on display.

    16. Flybyu, hemi31, and southern Hotrod will all have their cars there.

    17. 9 of the 10 fastest lx cars in the country will be there and you should be also. We will finally have everyone at the same track running together to find out who truly is as bad as they say they are. No excuses fellas, its time to show your hand and run all-out. "Loose the race, loose your ride" lol.

Sadly - I couldn't make it, having been blasted by a truck 8 days before the event. But were all of these other cars there? Who ran? Who didn't? I keep waiting for drag race stories, but no one has said a word.

Im not 100% on my facts so you guys can correct me if Im wrong.

Mattfab's jeep was there, heard it broke the rearend on a pass. I have no idea what it ran or if that was on its first pass.

I heard giglamesh was there but did not run his car.

Mr Morgan was there for show only.

Jeremy and Redfoxx ran in the exhibition class.

Lou was there but broke his tranny on Saturday.

Not sure on the rest. I did expect to see a buch of PPP big guns there. Jeremy's car did run very well though and I heard rumors they ran their purple charger but I didnt see that.

Did that red charger with the RDP blower make any passes? Baffles me we didnt get to run against something like that. Probably saved me a bunch of money, Im sure I would have purchased one if it beat me heads up. Their loss :)

No Maurie? No Paul? No Fixxer, Yaw, Jack, Walter, or the Turbo cars? What about Southern HotRod?

    I thought there'd be 16 cars in the 11's.

What about the 6.1 or 5.7 bracket racing. How many cars did that?

HemiC and Powerwagon both ran in the quick 16 class just to get more runs in. Both 5.7's, granted top echelon 5.7's but not what we expected to compete with.

40 cars? As in....20 pairs? Man that's dissappointing. I wonder if Chuck will even bother trying this again next year, and I wonder is people like you and Dan would be willing to travel so far again based on this year's turnout.

I thought there would be well over 100 cars racing. Again - I'm real sorry I was on the list of no-shows.

Totally agree with Erik, I would do it again. The people make these events fun. Of course winning cool prizes is fun too :)

There was a shit load of 5.7's and 4 6r's. Now that was some fun stuff to watch. First round of eliminations. My driver in my massively over powered C lined up against RobAGD. Even though Rob is a very experienced driver, I knew my tactics would overwhelm him. So the stage is set, my car with a 16.50 dial in and rob running about 3 seconds faster. The light hits and their off, with three seconds for Rob to think about how bad he's about the get his ass handed to him by my professionally prepared budget rent-a-wreck, rob loses it and blows the launch. Losing to my 16.51 run. The crowd went nuts (all 18 of them), confetti fell from the sky and we showered my driver (magFX) with wine and women after his triumphant return to the pits. :friends::beer::dance2:

Now, second round hits and my driver completely overwhelmed with emotion from the outpouring of support and love and loose women loses track and doesn't remember the numerous details I taught him about making a successful run.

And leaves the stinking AC off...........................costing us a break out by .172 against HemiC. :cry2:

I fired the basturd the minute he entered the pits!. :guns::bottom::argue::blowup:

now this is just down right funny!!!! the funny part is i can easily make the visual of cam beating the crap out of the car AND driver when they return to the pits...... after, of course, he has handed over all of his "hard earned" winnings from round one, to all of the eager bettors on round two!!! hahahahaha

Chris buddy, it's a damn shame you and Ron didn't make it. Sunday was a riot at the track.

I'm friends with both Paul and Fixxer. They couldn't make it b/c of family obligations, and Father's day stuff they didn't know was already planned for them.

#2 We were there... Kinda. I drove to tech :bigwink: Tranny problems after that :cry2:

9" Ford rear end was just fine.

The Columbus weekend was good. Met a lot of great people. And we now know the direction we are going in regards to transmission. Other then that it sure looked great, lol.

Good to hear from you Matt. I was definately planning on making the trip. We even added a little extra hp for the event. Unfortunately things didn't work out. I had to bail at the last minute. Andy was going to take my car and run it, but I had a little car trouble to boot. Nothing major, but I just couldn't put it all together. I am sorry I missed it. I heard everyone thier had a great time.
