It is NEGATIVE ION POWER REVOLUTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Okay, if you say so, is what I was thinking when this guy was talking to me about it. He claims it is brand new in Japan! They have seen 10-20 HP gains on "IMPORTS", but he claimed he would work just as well on any other engine. They tested it on the new 5.7 liter motor in the Tundra and saw up to $500 annually in gas savings. I'm not looking at getting it for my ride, but was just interested to learn about it. It is a SILLY PUDDY like material and you are supposed to apply it around the hose leading into the intake manifold and I believe (NOT SURE HERE) and the fuel hose that feeds the engine. It raises the air purity going into the engine!!!!!!!!! I thought he said it cost around $250, but wasn't really paying attention at this point. Was it really a waste of ten mintues of my life, that I could of spent staring at my car. This was about a month ago and forgot to post about it. PRIOR SUPERCHARGER DAYS, oh how sad those days were:bigwink:
It sounds like the magnet gadget that clamps on the fuel line to "align the molecules" and Mythbusters showed to be 100% snake oil.
If you ionize the air then particulate impurities will stick together or to surfaces with the opposite charge and settle out of the air. If you use one of the more effective ionizers (they take electricity to run them) in a room or your car you will, after some time, notice that "dust" (usually whitish in color) starts to accumulate on all the surfaces. Some ionizers also have reverse charged fins/plates/filters for this matter to collect on in the unit itself. Would this work on a car? doubtful. First of all your air filter should be removing anything you should care about. Secondly it would take a HUGE charge to get particles to fall out or stick to something when the air is moving at the tremendous rate it does through the intake. The expensive room ionizers are suppose to make a difference you can smell with your nose over a matter of days? I think your engine can change the air in your room in a matter of seconds? Let's say you actually managed to separate whatever particulate matter that makes it through your air filter from the intake air. Where does it go? Do you get a little bag with this thing that you put in the manifold that you empty out every couple of weeks? Power? Why would "clean room" air make more power? The implication would be that the oxygen content is higher. Not. Longevity maybe, but I don't think it would be measurable. I do think it admirable that they have developed miracle PUTTY capable of ionizing air to the extent and rate that would require a very large gas, electric generator if you were using electricity. And for only $250...
No joke my friend, just wanted to put out there what this guy was trying to sell me...............which was a big stinky bag of JASON:dumb:
Ryan, how many times have I told you not to trust any automotive salesmen who email you from Nigeria or especially Tijuana?!?!
What a surprise, how come this too so long I don't know, but now this thread is complete.........................................pucking HONKEYS!!!!!!!!
