Yea, but lower fan settings has NO bearing or ill effect on the tune. I am sure if you "Asked" them to lower the settings, they would.

    But what do I know?

    True.

LMAO!!! You're right Ron... Adam hinted at the fact that Vortech was made aware of the temps, t-stat and fans... waiting for his response to my question.

Yes, John talked to John about it. And not in a crazy homeless guy talking to himself manner.

    That's un-John-like... hmmm...

Adam, follow that link to LXF... they claimed 495 rwhp from the Vortech... WOOHOO!!!

BTW: Crazy-homeless-kinda-John, after looking at the dyno, said there's an EASY 20-40 hp in just fixing the AFR on the stock Vortech tune... it was RICH... don't know if I'll go there, but maybe Vortech needs to know that (but with smog, they likely won't touch it).

How come you guys don't seem to think that Vortech knows what's in the Vortech tune?

majorly because vortech builds em, they dont tune on a daily basis like a real tuner ie steve @ rdp.

manufacturers never know more than the actual engine builders....or at least that is what ive found. vortech made my SC for the LT1 in an old camaro, they didnt know shit about my car, perf upgrades or why i was running the psi i was at.

i just sent them my bad blower and had them repair it, then had my tuner re-install it....with a new tune.

I think it's because they're a name brand, they just came out with their blower for our cars and they're having sort of fire sale pricing on the initial installs. Bit of training, bit of beta, bit of R&D type of thing.

The tune is fat for safety. You always run your fastest right before you break...

With our stock pistons and tiny top ring land, I'd rather be running rich and safe. Ragged edge tunes should be reserved for guys with forged bottom ends.

Not bottom ends that been forged, like yours Jason.

And I have to agree with Ralph, that satin kit looks sweet under the hood.
