im sure it will go something like this:

1) noid holds up sign in nearly vacant amtrak station
2) ryan sees sign and walks up to noid promptly giving him a smack on the ass and a squeeze on the cheek (no not that one)
3) ryan gets carried away and starts groping noid in the station
4) law enforcement gets involved and throws them in lock up
5) ryan finishes what he started with noid
6) when finally bailed out, ryan cant pick up his car at vortech due to the late hour
7) ryan goes home on the amtrak

 

I'll give him the sign so that he can take it home with him and hang it up at his house.. LOL or bring it to the next M&G...

Ryan just called me. He's got the car...

First, he said that the sign in the train station was HILARIOUS!

Second, he said that he can really tell a difference with his car's power now... it went totally squirrely on him from a roll (sideways)... this is a good thing! I believe him to be a little nervous driving it with the new power... as I will be too. IMO, if a car can make you nervous just because its 'that' powerful... that's a good thing.

As for the "SOCAL HOSPITALITY"... I can only agree with the sentiments. When I first moved to San Diego (for work), I was a bit put off by the rather 'coolness' of people here in general. However, once you find your 'group', you won't find nicer people than here in socal... but, like I said, you gotta find your 'group'.

For the most part, we do try to help one another out. I'm usually on the 'receiving' end of the help (no pun intended) and I appreciate it immensely... as my mechanical ignorance is legendary... so, in return, I just try to do whatever I can... make jokes, go to kids bday parties w/a gift, and just be a good friend. All of us offer something, and somehow, someway, it all works out in the end.

Example from last night: 5150SRT8 sold me my Zoomers when I first got my car. They were used off of his. He met me at GSM (as he lives in LA) with the Zoomers and waited with me while they were installed. Last night, he PM's me with an offer to buy some wheels and Vredesteins (awesome offer, BTW) that I eagerly accepted. Sent me the PM before even posting it. Now, he's even willing to work around my schedule for me to go get them.

Needless to say, I've met my dearest friends via Socal and these forums. My wife and I are even Rick & Tish's girls' Godparents!!! "Uncle Momo" I am called! So, yeah, we've got some good relationships down here. Sure, Ryan's a bastard step-child, but then again, I can't get that close to an illegal alien... you never know when they'll skip town!
