Trying to get my Jeep prepared for Dynosteve's trip to Southern california.

    I am getting Stanko's Stage 3 Heads,
coated Kooks with high flow cats,
and I am debating comp cam 268.

The 268 is pretty decent. but if your gonna spend the money for the install. I'd suggest the inertia spartan or HHP stage 2. Do you know what springs on on those heads??. That'll make a difference as to what cam you can run.

They are golden up to .580 lift. If he wants to go over .590 lift I need to make some changes.

At this point I'm working with Mike from Inertia to get it dialed in.

Cam, your right data logging is a piece of cake. Its got all the CMR tables with out the access to make changes. Cool stuff!

I have the Comp and like it.Decent power with my stock heads. But sounds really mean from an idle.I made about 20rwhp with that cam.Anyways the spartan is wierd doesnt sound radical at all but when you hit that go pedal make sure you have an extra clean pair of shorts.I have seen that cam and a set of after market heads make around 450rwhp.. Not to mention a 4200lb car light the tires up from a 40mph roll is fun too.. :)

I have the HHP/BES Stage II cam, and have to tell you it's a top end hauler. I love it but would rule it out is I wasn't getting the torque converter. It works VERY well with the 2800 stall.

Eric the 6.1 cats are very good, Probably better than most after market Hi Flows.

If your doing Stanko's heads do the cam also you won't be disappointed. The 268 is a good cam, The spartan is a little better. But Stanko's 268 is probably cheaper and he has it right there. Lonnie

3000 is quite a bit but not enough for the stage 3 and manifold. Mybe stage one or stage two heads with a manifold. Who knows a women president might be soon. LOL

I've been very happy with my 268 cam. It turns heads at idle and gives good bump up top. I'm still not "professionally" dialed-in and getting some good numbers. I also have DR Stage 2 heads and coated Kooks with Hi-flows.
