In my never-ending quest to save money on car stuff, I came across the following tire that should fit our cars... and they're relatively inexpensive. However, I've never heard of this company (then again, I never heard of Vredestein until Rick 'discovered' them). Just food for discussion. They come in 275/40/20. Nankang "Sunny" (for SUV/Light Truck) Treadwear of 280 Traction: A Temperature: A Speed Rating: ZR (Last 3 ratings are same as Nitto Invos) http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direct/findTireDetail.do?c=6&sw=false&cs=275&pc=10020&rd=20&ar=40 Discount Tire has them for $120 each. http://www.smartratings.com/review/users/mid_39605212 Thoughts? Comments? Opinions?
never heard of them...but for me what it comes down to is those are 600 for a set and the Vs are what 650 or so...whats 50 bucks worth to you? Also the invos have AA traction not A.
John, according to: http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direct/findTireDetail.do?c=11&sw=false&cs=275&pc=40399&rd=20&ar=40 Invos have an "A" traction... but, I believe ya. I did some research, and you can get 4 of these tires for $568. So, that's a bit cheaper... Can't find reviews...
Dahaha. Found this review (most of the other ones were good or very good). On a SRT-4 ... but then again the guy has a lowered mini-van too.
This is wierd? Same tire? but different price and ratings? http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/tires/nankang/size/bySize.do?cs=275&ar=40&rd=20
Dave, I'm not sure if those are the Nankang SN3980's. ... and what's wrong with a lowered minivan?!?!
I don't know how Dave found a review but I spent the good part of 30 minutes trying to find one review but couldn't find one! I do know they are made in Taiwan!!!
I say boo to nankang! It just sounds wrong-period. I had a hard enough time jumping into the v's. Atleast they are made in the Netherlands and have been around for sixty years. They are the tires that dealers throw into packages to make the package cheap. Some people will go with any tire if it fits their budget. It just so happens the v's are cheap in price(for now), perform well, and come with the specs that suit the lx's perfectly. Just my opinion though... Maybe someone should try them out, just not me! The v's are already proven by many fellow members atleast, for a little more money.
Exactly Jason! But, on the other hand....you could be pioneer like Howdee with the V's. YOU could be the grandfather of the Nankangs!!
As you should always believe me Jason... http://www.nittotire.com/#index.tire.invo and if their site wasnt enough how about a pic from the set i have on the car currently for my 20s
