Great idea, I would have done that if I thought there was a reason for them to drive the car..I specifically told them the light comes on even when the car is idling so there is no need to drive it. The service advisor told us today...they take EVERY Car on a test drive. So I guess if I come in because my radio doesnt work they take it for a test drive WTF!
Hopefully...crosses fingers... this is never an issue again...warranty is up and we can fix pretty much anything that is mechanical on the car anyway.

i'd still write to dodge...tell them how this kinda crap adds to them not selling more cars and people not going to dealers for service

i mean i should not have to go into work late because i have to stand next to the guy whos doing my oil change because i dont trust them...but i dont lol....not everyone can stand next to them the whole time they have your car and you shouldnt have to worry about it every second that they have your car...

and no they shouldnt treat the SRT special...they SHOULD TREAT ALL CARS WITH RESPECT but they dont....

i am all worked up about it and it wasnt even my car lol....i'd give em hell man

Oh you will get a kick out of this..while we are standing there talking to the service guy...in the background they are unloading a minivan from a flatbed...they drive that thing off the flat bed at high speed...boom off the back it goes. Lisa turns around sees this and says to theservice guy...well I guess thats how it happened! Priceless!

    hahahaha..nice...

way to treat someone elses car with any respect at all...

you should go "test drive" the service managers car and see what he thinks of its condition when you return it :shifty:

I didnt even try for a rental....I just included that from my previous experience lol!
They say it happened on the lift..which I am still not sure of...there was no need for the car to be on a lift to begin with as far as I can tell, all they were doing is reprogramming it.
They scuffed up the underside of the chin spoiler and ripped/cracked/pushed back the undertray ripping out the riviets and pushing out the front of the inner wheel wells.
Is it the biggest deal that could happen no..but I just don't understand how I can put 36k on my car, drive it everyday, and never curb/bottom out the car once or rip out the underliner and they can do it in one day.
A bunch of freaking idiots, I really thought there was no way they could screw up reprogramming the airbag sensor, although they can't even do an oil change right either!
Luckily BMCP does all my work so I don't have to worry about idiots like this normally.

That's incredible Kris! I can't believe they said that, that's truly amazing man, you gotta find another dealer and you gotta write, email or phone Chry about these morons, just amazing, these guys gotta be stopped! I GET special treatment at my dealer (yea, a 5 star) just BECAUSE it's an SRT and a specialty vehicle! Wow, just wow man, incredible.

I feel your pain and nothing is going to make this easy.

Lot of good advice from everybody.

Upon delivery of my Charger i noticed the front spoiler damage(from someone coming off the delivery truck too fast and not enough ground clearance).

I flipped out and did not let them repair for fear of more f*** ups.

Along that note my worst dealer experience, after telling them not to test ride vehicle, was over 90 miles extra on the odometer for test ride. After exploding and getting in the face of the individual that took my car HOME, WTF,the car never saw that dealer again.

My warden(wife) would say it's only a car get over it. in the end she is right and life is too short.

Can you imagine that. But my wife never complains when I park far away from other vehicles.

    good luck with your car.

FYI...while I've only had minimal experience with them, I've been to Northlake Dodge, and they seemed pretty confident. When I pulled in with my SRT, the service tech immediately got the Asst Manager to handle my service. I thought that was pretty cool.

Had a good experience, but like I said, it was minimal. I've heard SO many horror stories about Arrigo that I guess the bar was set pretty low...LOL.

Keep us posted on how this goes!!

Sam, the wife's right...but I would probably stroke out if some jackass put 90 MILES on my car. Who gives him the fn right?? That's grounds for sending him to the dentist....at the very least...he should have been fired.
