    Guys,

We took the Caliber back to the track the other day [5/25/2008]. Im very very happy with the results! We really have this car cooking now.

We raised the boost from the 20psi we ran the 12.9 with to 22psi [what we dyno`d 360whp with] and added a splash of 110 to our 94 pump gas.

The end result is a 12.52@118 with a 2.0 60 foot! This is with NO NITROUS on drag radials!!

I think with more seat time, straight 110 race gas and a more aggressive tune, this car will go a consistant 12.30s on drag radials.

I feel the car is an EASY 11 second car with slicks. We have the brake conversion all ready to go [so we could use slicks], but I wanted to show what the car can do for the average person.

    Mods on car :
    4 gallons of 94 octane
    2 gallons of 110 octane
    Realtune Stage 2 package :
Tuning module [tune untouched from the 360whp dyno run]
    625cc injectors
Realtune big compressor wheel stock turbo upgrade
    ED turboback exhaust
    Realtune Prototype WGA @18psi
TXS MBC bleeding boost to 22psi falling to 21psi

    265 Drag radials
    SBC stage 3 clutch
The rest of the car is STOCK..including the motor mounts.

We are making serious waves with this car. It just goes to show what a good tune and good driver can muster. Stay tuned as we are not even close to taping this setup out yet.

    Thanks guys!

The setup is far from being maxed out. I fully expect to get this car in the 11s before we really dig in and make it fast. :friends:

Our goal is 12.3 on drag radials and 11.9s on slicks [once we do the brake swap] with No nitrous.

Adding an intercooler, full race gas with more boost and timing.

Time to for 120+ traps :usflag:

I thought the CSRT-4 already had an intercooler.

It does. The stock CSRT IC heatsoaks very easily. I've done a few 3rd/4th gear pulls on the highway and intake air temps are about 40 degrees higher than ambient air temp.
A good efficient IC will keep that difference at around 20 degrees or less. Cooler the intake charge, more power that is available.

Got the intercooler on yesterday and what a HUGE difference.

Inlet temps only went up 21 degrees at 25psi vs. 46 degress at 22psi with the stock IC.

With the race gas tune I just put in it, more boost and the IC...the seat of the pants says major gains.

We are hitting the track today and that will tell the real story.

I am doing a few passes with the old tune [to see the difference the IC made in our traps] and the rest will be with the new tune

On a side note, even the throttle response was greatly improved. The stock IC has two restrictions [one at each end]. The new IC does not and you can notice the difference for sure
