After a lil research,I can lease a 64lb bottle for 37cents a day and $188 for 64lbs of NOS...Plus $28 for delivery,$10 fuel surcharge and another $20 for mis charges..Nitrous Outlet has a siphon set up for a hundred and some odd bucks...So I will have my own NOS filling set up soon....After $200 for a local to fill my bottles I decided to have my own...

Lou, if you have time between fills you do not need a pump. What I do is freeze my 10# bottle for at least 2 hours and then when you hook it to the big filler botttle, it will suck up over 10lbs of juice. The only thing you have to be careful for is that the pressure in small bottle doesnt exceed pressure of donor.

    Here are the steps.

    1) Freeze bottle that goes in vehicle

    2) Hook up the shortest hose possible from donor to vehicle bottle, tighten the fitting at Vehicle bottle.

    3) Open Valve on donor bottle, slightly crack the hose where it connects to the vehicle bottle. You leave it cracked until you see the nitrous flow out, this prevents you from pumping the air in that line.

4)After you have tightened the line at Vehicle bottle, open the valve on vehicle bottle and fill until you reach desired weight. I like 17lbs but if its a hot day, you better start spraying soon, I usually only fill that much when going street racing.

    5) You close the valve on the vehicle bottle first, then close the donor bottle.

    6) Disconnect hose off of vehicle bottle and once proper pressure is reached, start spraying.

BTW- Can you not carry the big bottle in your Jeep ? Thats what I do and it saves on delivery and fuel charge.

Lay the seat down, don't just carry the big bottle, hook it up in the GC. Don'l have to worry about filling the 10 pounders then. LOL

I've thought about getting my own filling station too. I still get it for $3.95 to $4.25 a lb at Checker Auto Parts.

...do the freezing route, it is very easy.

my added advice, as said use the shortest lines you can get, but get an inline filter
coming out of the big bottle to keep junk from getting into little bottle.

I just did the math on that for my own situation, and if I were to have the bottle for 32 days, have it full of nitrous, and waive all of the shipping and misc. charges, it would save me ABOUT $15.00 per each refill. Probably more like $10 per refill with all of those extra charges. So I would be saving quite a bit of money, but not as much as I expected.

I just received my 64#bottle and the siphon setup should be here by Fri...Bottle is supposed to be around $246 delivered for 64lbs of NOS and 37cents a day for bottle rental...$171 for the siphon hoses drop shipped from NX...Still alot cheaper than the $195 the local guy charged me for only 20lbs...

Why didn't you just buy the bottle instead of renting it? I see this as no different than the weld gas bottles I purchased, then all I do is drop off the empty, pick up a full one, and only pay for the gas, and no additional rental charges.
